Hello all..
I am looking for a nice looking, working copy of Metal Marines for the Super Nintendo for a friend's birthday.. He is not a collector he just loves that game.. I have been looking for it for him for years and have never found a copy outside of Ebay... His wife really wants me to find a copy so she can give it to him on his birthday next month. I don't really know what a copy is worth or costs. I'm trying not to spend more than $35 for it shipped. Please PM me or email me at PSergeant@aol.com... Thanks
Paul

Thanks... I didn't know where else to try... I looked on Ebay.. and always miss the end of the auction, get outbid, or don't have the money to put up front at the time..
I figured DP was a good place to try.

On a GOOD day on evilBay you may get a loose cart of MM for $35.. but that would be a bargain. It's one of those games (like Metal Warriors also) where some of us totally disagree with DP's online guide quote for both rarity AND price. You're usually lucky if any kind of copies of either of these games are even available at any given time. I've seen complete "mint" (I hate that term) copies of both these games go for over $100 quite often. I have a complete copy.. but don't want to sell it.
There IS another cheaper.. maybe desirable alternative for you. Metal Marines was originally a PC game. Simply by it's age you can deduce that the system requirements weren't that high anymore. It actually does need W95 though (not DOS). The reason being that in the PC Windows version the game actually plays on your desktop. You can move the two game windows for the opposite sides to different parts of your desktop and when they fire rockets at each other.. they actually fly out of the windows and travel acrossed your wallpaper to the other window.. kinda' cool.
There were two PC versions.. the regular one and the deluxe version. The deluxe version has voices and a few features not found on the plain PC version nor the SNES one. The deluxe version is quite hard to find (I have a complete copy as well.) but the regular version which most closely resembles the SNES one.. can be found occasionally on eB as well.. for A LOT less than the SNES one (usually goes for under $15 to $20). Good luck.

List thanks for your help... Right now I don't think a PAL game is the way to go for me... I know I would need some kind of converter to play them on my NTSC system... and I don't want to have to track down a converter too... If I am wrong someone please tell me... I'm not sure if I am right about needing a converter to play PAL games on my NTSC system... But thanks again...
Daily bump
