I have a jones to play Mr. Do's Castle and I have a chance to buy the 2600 version. Is it a good version or bad?

I can't seem to find any reviews of this game.

Well, purely from a collector's standpoint, I'd buy it if I had the opportunity, simply because it isn't common. But that's the hoarder/collector in me.

I never liked Mr. Do's... maybe because I hate clowns...
I know that the arcade version is 10 times better than the Atari so I'd not get my hopes up to high.

Hope it isn't bad to suggest this, but try stella.

Just google stella atari to get what I'm talking about if you don't know.

I used to have that game years ago, I never liked it that much, arcade is way better

I wouldn't spend the money on it unless you find it at a flea market/garage sale for a few dollars. it does go pretty high on ebay

I never played Castle on the Coleco but Qbert Cubes on Colecovision is ALOT better than the 2600 version. If you are looking to play on a console and not emulation I would try the Coleco version and pass on 2600.

If you are looking to collect go for the 2600 version hopefully complete.

I think this goes for at least 90% of arcade game ports. The Coleco version of Mr. Do's Castle is vastly superior to the 2600 version.

There's a reason why it's an uncommon game ;)
