NO, it is sealed. I bought all of these games factory sealed. It has the seals on all of the seams on the edges. It also has the plastic tape style seal on the top of the case, which i WILL take pictures if you would like. This is the real deal, and not some stupid reseal. First ask me for more pictures, then take a look at them. If you and several other people do think this is some kind of reseal, then i will relist my item, but to the best of my knowledge (and i know one more member on here on a personal bases that will agree with me), this game IS factory sealed. So i would ask you to retract your previous post, and did you ever take a look at the rest of my auctions? They are all factory sealed as well, with the white sticker serial lables at the top. First ask me about my items, don't accuse, then we can both go from there. Thanks for looking in.

honestly i thought the first version of Symphony didnt have the white sticker at the top. I kinda thought that was a thing that started in later Ps1 Games. I was actually with tyson when he scored all these Factory Sealed games and they came from a guy who cleaned out a warehouse. And everything else was factory sealed that he owned. the guy that owned these even had factory sealed GAMEBOY and Original NES games sealed all with the horizontal line. And trust me this guy was not a dealer and re sealing games. i bought a complete final fighty guy for 7 bucks from him. and a sealed nomad system from him for 20 bucks. So NO the guy Tyson got everything from WAS NOT resealing his games. i can gurantee you that. he had no idea what he was selling.

Where did you buy the Castlevania? A seal on the top doesn't mean its factory sealed. Some rental and game places removed the outter wrap and placed the disk in a drawer so people wouldn't steal them off the shelf.
Once the wrap is removed by carefully pulling the bottom tab of the cd case you can seperate the case without damaging the top sticker. Then when the game is bought you can repeat this to put it back in the case and reseal it.
Most resealed PS1 bought at game stores are in new condition but some of the rental stores would rent disks for years in a rental case and then reseal it in the original case with the top white sticker intact.

I'm not an expert on ps1 but I don't believe it to be sealed.
You have to remember that even stores back in the day resealed (and still do) if there were customer returns or if the shrink got damaged or whatever.
I'm sure this was one of those cases. It's not uncommon.

Ehh if I had this item I would describe it as it is and let the buyer deceide. I can't say for sure it was resealed but some ps1 sealed collectors might stay away from it because it doesn't have the shrinkwrap with the folded corners. Compare the wrap of the other Castlevania if you don't know what I mean.
Its Castlevania. If this were a rare game that no one plays like City of Lost Children you would have big trouble moving it. Castlevania has a huge pool of collectors and it should still sell.

My post was directed at the poster above you (we simultaneously posted), and in general describing anything as it is and letting the buyer decide is cool... but I'd put the chances of this being legit at next to nothing. I don't know ps1... but that's a really shoddy looking seal on the sides there.

I agree. I don't think its a factory seal. I just looked at all 4 pictures and it really does look pretty bad.
I know your post wasn't directed at me. I was just adding that wether or not its factory sealed he should just describe it for what it is and let the bidders bid or not bid accordingly.

It's not an original seal for that PS game. Konami has never had a soft shrink (always had that crisp hard shrinkwrap) on anything released for the PlayStation.
As far as I know once the games started to come in the standard CD sized cases, they came with the seal sticker on the top of them. I've never seen an 'officially' sealed game not have one on it. No matter the age.
As for doing what BuyAtari mentioned with taking the shrink off and just putting the case on the shelf, the method described is how i've opened every cd i've purchased over the last 10 years and how I opened every cd any customer of mine asked to have opened for them. Popping the bottom of the case keeps the seal intact and you can re-connect it without problem 95% of the time.

Okay, well i didn't want to mislead anybody, so i revised my auction. The rest of my sealed games do have the holograms graphics at the top, and are sealed with the folds, so i DO believe they are 100% legit. Good luck and Happy Bidding!!!
