My friend claimed to have just gotten, although now somewhat tarnished because of his awful brothers, a complete copy of Lunar: Silver Star Story at a garage sale for $4. These ridicoulously-pricey PlayStation RPG's always get me confused and I was wondering If this is that one uber-rare game that everyone was talking about or just another peice of crap. he says it came with a hard-cover book and a map, so maybe there's a clue...
he might be bringing it in tommorow so stay tuned
...
okay, so [i]maybe there'll be some meseta involved ;)

In my opinion, itīs not a very rare game, many people here got it for some good prices (but not 4 bucks like your friend), but itīs a good game...bah, the packaging is better than the game i think...
By the way, good adquisition!
Poofta!

its not uber rare, but very in demand if its complete, it came with a nice hardbound manual, a cloth map, a big box to hold it all together and i believe a soundtrack. a complete one goes for 60 bucks or so last time i remember... regardless though, as long as it works, 4 buck is a great price for that game.

I'm sorry to steal your topic, but on a somewhat related note, I'm curious to know how much Lunar 2: Eternal Blue Complete is work. I remember buying the game a long time ago and getting all the nice stuff in it, like the Pendant.

I bought one myself for around that price at a yard sale. It was the 4 disks (including soundtrack) and the original case only. I put a buy it on ebay with a buy it now of $60 on a ten cent day. I think it was purchase within 2 days. So it can sell pretty well even without all the extras.

that's okay :)
I've seen the stratedgy guide alone for that game go-up to a hundred, so it's definately worth something...

Great price!
I think the Sega version is rarer than the Sony.
I also think the guides are rarer than the fan packs, kind of like Xenogears or Dragon Force.
which version discs did he get?
Working Designs, nuff said.
