Err...for lack of better words, that is, since a Google search turned up jack on these. It looks like one of those gold controllers, except it has the NP logo on the top, along with the text "100." I've personally never seen one...I'm assuming it was some sort of Nintendo Power giveaway. It's not in the greatest of shape, but I'm thinking that not many of these are floating around. Anyone know if I'm way off-base, or if I'm on target? Also a price on this sucker?

Thanks, pic is thumbnailed below. I've kept it big so you can see the little thing at the top. It says Nintendo Power 100, and it's not some sort of sticker or anything like that.

Also, if anyone still has the mag, could they possibly look through it and scan the pages that this was featured on? Meseta if you do.

Ah, thanks. That clears that up. Anyone got a price this thing is worth? Maybe $20 or something?

I saw one sell a long time ago...$20 seems low...I can not remember but I would say at least $50 and even that sounds kind of low.

It's uncommon, but not that desired. Toys R Us started selling official gold controllers after these were produced. More often I hear people say "I want a gold controller" rather than, "I want that rare 100th anniversary controller"

$20-$30 seems about right.

How many did they give out in the mag in that contest? I remember this contest vaguely and I remember thinking how rare this piece would be. However, I don't remember them being sold in the Nintendo Power Supplies catalog, though I don't doubt they were. Definitely rare. I mean, who the hell would have ordered one of those?

Hey, I'll buy it off ya of you're selling. I wanted one back then, so It would be kind of cool to have one.
