I hope that the Wii will allow users to download games that never made it over seas for one specific reason only.

It's one of the few games I would have bought for the 64 when it first came out. This game now looking back was like a pre Zone of the Enders.

I just wanted to share that... Thanks

I already have Sin & Punishment, but the game will be appearing on the Wii. This has already been covered somewhere or other...

OH? I'm behind on the times somehow.

I remember seeing S&P on a listing of Virtual Console games eons ago - before the Virtual Console name was even shown. I hope that it sticks, and that I'll finally be able to play it, but I'm not completely expecting it to happen given how old the info is.

getting imports available through download would require for them to change th language..

Heh, i've already got two versions of the game -- one for the N64, one on my iQue player. Got an extra new/sealed N64 one, too :)

For some reason I wouldn't hold out hope on it coming over on the Wii, just because of localization. I could be wrong, but if they didn't see fit to bring it to the West during the N64's run I don't see why they would localize it now...

Wow! That looks amazing!

I'm going to have to get a version of it, if not for Wii, then some other way!

Not much woyld have to change for Sin & Punishment... just the menus, really. The entire game itself is in English with Japanese subtitles. Keep the subtitles for the hell of it, chnage the menu screens to English, and you're done.

Someone actually made a translation patch for this not so long ago. Actually, all it involved was swapping in some new textures (or something like that).

Must have been "something like that" as the game menus are most definately written in Japanese. No English text. Like I said... the DIALOGUE is spoken English with Japanese subtitles. I don't know how swapping in some new textures would make a big differance to the options menu. This game was scheduled for an American release so maybe someone unlocked some English menus or something?

Well, if the Options menu uses textures, then you replace the textures that have Japanese text with textures that use English text, and there you are.

Thanks for clearing that up. There's no question whatsoever that that would work perfectly. :monkey:

Jorpho, everybody knows that real men play S&P untranslated!!!

It would be cool if Nintendo upgraded the Wii version so that the wiimote could control the game's cursor. That would be perfect.
