I've recently been on an old school RPG kick and I wanna go back and try some SNES/Super Fami ones I missed/never got to play, but I wanted to see if I could get any info/opinions on them. Iknow, I know, I could just download the translations, but I always liked the feeling of playing it on the console and on my tv. Anyways, I'm interested in these:

1) Tales of Phantasia - I heard the Super Fami version is a lot better than the GBA version...true?
2) Seiken Densetsu 3
3) Star Ocean
4) Terranigma/Tenchi Sozo - I would love to play the PAL release, but its hard to find a converter that'll work on my NTSC system, correct? I saw 2 on Ebay right now, but I heard the Honeybee doesnt work for Terranigma.
5) Illusion of Gaia
6) Soul Blazer

Any opinons/info/help/where-to-buy would greatly appreciated.

I don't even see the point of playing the first three in Japanese, unless you can read Japanese and I've never really cared much for the Soul Blazer Saga. So given your list I'd play Terranigma. Which is a shame really because the first three games you listed are really very excellent.

The GBA version of ToP isn't so bad, not a very good localization though, but better than being in gibberish.

It is possible to play these translations on actual hardware with a Tototek flash cart or a Cart hack.

And personally, I'd rather do a Cart hack for something worthwhile like Seiken Densetsu 3 or Star Ocean.
