Here's the unnoficial list. Of everything I've bought and sold on Ebay, the following is true :)
Most Classic games are SOLD from the state of:
PENNSYLVANIA by FAR
New York and New Jersey also rank up on the list followed by
Canada, Arkansas, Texas, and California
Most classic games are BOUGHT by the state of:
California, Illinois, Texas, New york
Followed by Florida, Colorado, connecticut, and New Jersey
Useless info, but true :)

I have a theory why Canucks are selling games so fervently on Ebay. The exchange rate is so favourable, that a Canuck can't ignore the opportunity.
Buy an old Intellivision for $12CDN ($8USD), and sell it on Ebay for $60USD ($100CNDN). Tough to ignore.

The only problem with this theory is that (where I am at least) it's hard to find an intelli at all, let alone for $12 CDN

That's what I do :) It's about the only way I make money these days, and I've been coming across a LOT of classic stuff lately.

ehm u people really think many games are sold/bought on ebay in the us? :D
mhhhhhh u know, germany has 81,7 million people and there are 3554 snes-items right now on ebay.de, on ebay.com it's 5494, compare it to how many people live in the us and u will know that german ebay has A LOT more auctions in video-gaming

Not that I use eBay, but you're dead on.
New games are priced with the exchange rates taken into account (i.e. a $50 USD game goes for $75 here) but when it comes to used stuff we make out like bandits. You think to yourself that you'd like to get $50 out of something and then somebody gives you $50 USD (or $75) - what's not to like.
Sadly the state comparison is correct. I think CA has as many (or more) people then we do :)
