In your opinion...
Are the Donkey Kong competition and Star Fox weekend carts required to make a complete SNES set?
Is the NWC Cart required to make a complete NES set?
I say no, since they were never actually available for sale.

Not to me they don't.
If a game wasn't available for purchase at the retail level then I don't count it.

I agree. While having a NWC cart, or other holy grails is nice and impressive, to me it is icing on the cake and not part of a set. I go after liscensed sets.

Even if you consider the NWC cart to be a part of the complete set, do you have to have both a grey one and a gold one?
I don't consider it a part of the set. Retail releases only so I wouldn't consider that N64 NFL Blitz rental release with the updated teams to be a part of a complete collection either.

We just had a lengthy discussion on this not too long ago. Let's throw these comments into that thread and make IT complete!
