I-ve been thinkin for several weeks about selling some stuff to buy a GP2X.

There hasnt been much talk abouit lately. I would like to know -straight from the people who got a gp2x- if its worth the price and the time to fiddle around and get the programs and emulators working...

I`ve had 3 Ds`s and 2 Psp`s and I sold em all because I just didnt enjoy them. Right now Im spengding most of my tmie with my GBA and Yoshis island...is there a good gba emu for gp2x?

Thanks again, please help me make a decision!

Well my mate has one and I've had the chance to play on it quite a bit; I've been helping him set-up all the emulators and everything.

Personally, I think it's great. Considering the short development time so far, the NeoGeo emulator is pretty damn good. We've also got the PCEngine emu on the go and that's good too.

He's obviously picked up a fair bit of what I've been showing him, as he installed a NES emu a couple of days ago. I haven't seen it running yet, but apparently that's bang-on too. I'll let you know about SNES/Megadrive when we get around to it. And he buys a bigger SD card.

So yeah, I reckon it's a worthwhile purchase. The emulaton will only get better and more accurate over the coming months. The unit itself is very swish and I like the screen. Having S-Vid TV-out is nice too. The only problem is the joystick. It's gonna take some getting used to, tbh. Other than that, yeah go for it.

Thanks. But I`ve been thinking too....the GP2x doesnt emulate a system not emulated on psp yet. right?

In that case Im thinking it`d be better to buy a PSP (you can play psp games on it , besides emulators)..

Im very confused, but thanks for your advice

Well I have almost every handheld including the GP2X.

And the PSP has the same emulators andthey run great and look and sound better, plus they control better.

Stick with the PSP if you have a hacked one.
