I'm doing some research about games based on the original Gremlins movie and need some help!
There are two distinct games as far as I can tell:
One is an arcade-style game from Atari (Atarisoft) released for the C64, AppleII, Atari 5200 and others (there's a different game for the 2600 but it's still an arcade game).
The second is a text adventure from AdventureSoft for the C64, C16, Amstrad, Spectrum, BBC and Electron.
So far so good (I think). I have two questions:
1) Was the arcade game ever released in the UK/Europe, and was the adventure game ever released in the US? (I’m trying to work out if the games were developed for specific markets.)
2) When were the two games released? (The adventure game was reviewed in British mag Zzap 64 in the June 1985 issue, so I'm guessing it was released around May/June, but I have no idea about the arcade game.)
If anyone can help I'd be extremely grateful. Thanks for taking the time to read this!
