I could not find this topic anywhere when running a search.

What arcade games have you never played?

The best answers would include games that were at least moderately successful or fondly remembered. However, it is up to you what you reply with. Any era is suitable.

The only catch is that you would want to limit answers to those arcade games you have played at least one home version of.

I have never played:

-Mortal Kombat
-Super Street Fighter 2
-Missle Command
-Tempest
-Double Dragon III
-Karnov
-Any Neo Geo game, OTHER than Baseball Stars and Fatal Fury (series
-Saturday Night Slam Masters
-King of the Monsters
-Spy Hunter

Those are the ones that come to mind. Most everything else I've wanted to play, I have gotten around to it.

Don't waste a lot of time on Slam Masters. Basically 4 player Pit Fighter without the weapons, with S/F graphics engine. As far as wrestling games go, I guess it's all right, but I bought the 4-player dedicated cab to convert (don't worry, I built my own panels, so it can be restored if desired). I think the PCB goes for like 10 bucks on Ebay if you're interested. Gotta try Mortal Kombat though, highly recommend.

How about those you never played anywhere home or arcade because the arcade is the only way to do it and you can't duplicate the machine. Games with non standard controllers or hardware which never allowed for 100%
mame emulation.

Hell I'd like to see a list of these games wether you played them or not.

Mad Planets
Discs of Tron
Tron (all spiner games I guess would count)
Turkey Shoot (turkey feathers)

has to be more what else is out there?

Games I never got to play in their pure form that I regret (e.g. with unique controllers and/or control schemes) would be:

Computer Space
Crossbow
Krull
Rootbeer Tapper/Tapper
Star Castles

More recent ones I missed out on are:

G-LOC R-360: Holy hell I want to play in this
Street Fighter: Giant buttons version
Planet Harriers: I've never even seen it

I'm lucky in that I was growing up during the golden age of video games and got to play most of the games that are so well regarded today when they were first on location.

The Discs of Tron immersive cabinet is rad as hell.

Juno First is the only classic game that comes to mind that I can say for sure I never played in the arcade.

720 has never felt right to me on anything but the real deal. It uses a spinner which is shaped more like a joystick. Definitely unique. Also, unless you have an X-Arcade or a monster joystick like PDF's, most games that require 2 joysticks per player (Karate Champ, Robotron, etc) aren't the same at home.

I've never found a good solution for playing TRON in MAME which sucks as it was one of my favorite games and I was pretty good at it in the arcade, too.

720. Never played the actual arcade version. I've got a copy of the NES edition, but I've never played (let alone seen) an actual 720 cab.

Also, I don't think I've played any Double Dragon title in the arcade.

Hmm, where do I start?

Warlords
I, Robot
Major Havoc
Tron (I have played Discs of Tron though)
Spelunker
Tapper
Defender II
Joust 2
STUN Runner
Escape from the planet of the Robot Monsters
Virtually any new arcade title made in the past three years
Metal Slug (I have played MS3)

That is a shame. To date, there has never been a definitive home version of Double Dragon. Every home version messed with the game somehow. Despite the glitches it had, the only way to really play it is in the the arcade.
