I was just wondering if the Gamecube games that have "Not for Resale" on the covers are all pack-in games?

Wen't to a local Pawn Shop this morning and found Mario Sunshine and Super Smash Bros. Melee, both had "Not for Resale" printed on them.

Any insight would be appreciated.

Thanks.

I bought a Cube bundled with Mario Kart Double Dash and it's a "Not for Resale" version of the game.
Just out of curiosity I looked thru some of my other titles and discovered Super Mario Sunshine and Legend Zelda Ocarina of Time/Master Quest were also "Not for Resale" versions. Must have been someone elses pack in games at one time.

Aside from the two Zelda collections, any Gamecube game that's listed as "Not For Resale" was part of a bundle at one point or another.

Thats the information I was looking for, thank you.

Is there a list of Gamecube bundles anywhere?

Thanks.

I got my GC at target new back when it was $149 (late 2002, maybe? my memory is fuzzy). It had Super Smash Bros. Melee packed in, and the game case had "not for resale" on it. The system was jet black and packed in a normal box but had a "Super Smash Bros. Melee included!" sticker on it. Hope that helps.

Pics? If you're interested in parting with them, I might be interested in buying them :)

I have a copy of Mario Party 4 with NOT FOR RESALE on the back. It's the Kmart variant that came from the Wavebird controller bundle.

It's still sealed, as it's a spare. Not sure if it's good for GC variant fans though.

P.S. The ones I know of that have NFR versions are Metroid Prime (Kmart variant), the aforementioned Mario Party 4, The Legend of Zelda Collector's Edition (was a pack-in), and Zelda Ocarina/Master Quest (that was actually a Windwaker preorder goodie here).

actually, i believe a lot of the first party titles for rent at stores like blockbuster and hollywood video are NFR cases. it's something that i noticed a long time ago. like nintendo sent out special 'rental copies' for these. the NFR is small on the back.

and i know for a fact that there's a version of SSBM that has a NFR label right in the front where it's not normally located on versions that were bundled. i think the disc may be NFR too, but i'd have to check. a friend of mine worked at gamestop when the game first came out and these were sent to retailers (full version) to put out special in kiosks. his store didn't use it and he got the game free.

I have noticed the "Not for Resale" blurb on the front and on the back of the cases, when on the front its quite large and noticeable, on the back its usually quite small and off to one corner.

I looked at both the discs, neither had "Not for Resale" on them anywhere.

Thanks.
