Rabbit alone is worth $25.00-$30.00 and Layer section II is also worth about the same amount. http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&ih=017&item=270002377255&rd=1&sspagename=STRK%3AMESE%3AIT&rd=1

If its worth something, never sell it in a lot. Put lot items together to create interest in items that would otherwise not have any or much. But it's a little early, most bids come in the last ten minutes or so. Also, some people will tell you that Sunday is the best time to sell, I think that Friday and Saturday are best. Next time do a timed start to end at a decent time. 06:35:16 PDT is too early for West Coasters and most of your East Coasters are getting ready for Church.

um, not meaning to sound rude but... have you checked your eBay auction title?

There's NO mention of Rabbit in there whatsoever. What do you expect??

No offense but yes it does go for about 25. Why you didn't put RABBIT in the title is baffling. And then you complain about it.

Like BT said, you should have separated the games, and choose a better ending time.

That high shipping is probably chasing a few people away too. You could ship 7 CDs for half of that amount.

Yeah, dude, I don't mean to complain, but you could easily ship all those items inside a Priority Mail box for $6.50. It's a bit more than $4 to ship up to a pound nationwide, so I'd say a $8 shipping charge would've been more than enough to cover all handling fees and even a bit of insurance.

In these cases I would've definitely splurged and gotten a subtitle so the names of all items could've been found on eBay searches, as well.

Sorry if I sounded rude. I mean no offense.

Its cool guys, i guess i learned my lesson from this one. I did lower the shipping to $12.00 for First Class, and $15.00 for priority. But yeah the box and bubble wrap only cost $7.00. I am thinking of selling my copies of Princess Crown, Metal Slug, Magic Knight Rayearth, and Sengoku Blaede. But it would be much smarter to sell them individually right?

For pete's sake, yes!

And your shipping prices are still horrible. They're probably hurting your sales, IMO.

Once again, I do not mean to insult you personally. I don't know you. This is solely my opinion of your costs.

In my opinion, $12 for First Class is highway robbery - especially because you can only ship up to thirteen ounces via first class. At most you'd be able to ship only half the things via first class, anything over that gets bumped to Priority Mail and that costs 4 bucksfor one pound nationwide.

I suggest you do this:
* Get a Priority Mail box from the post office; they're free, and they can give you one that's about a foot wide by a foot and a half long (three inches in depth). You can easily fit all CDs there. I think they've also got "shoeboxes" which are the size of a, well, shoebox. :P
* Go to a local dollar store, such as Dollar Tree or Family Dollar, and search through their stationary aisle. I get a smallish roll of bubble wrap there for a buck, while places like Wal-Mart sell the same stuff for $3 - and the post office charges $4 for it.
* Reuse boxes! Go to some local markets, or hell, the same stores I mentioned and ask if they have any open or empty boxes around. They'll usually give them to you just so they don't have to deal with them anymore. These boxes are usually -very- sturdy and light, and they can be reused without a problem, as long as any markings which say the items inside are hazardous or perishable are blotted out.

These three things have helped me save money on shipping, and those savings are then passed to my buyers.

Again, sorry for my tone, but that's what I did. Hope this helps on any future auctions! :)

yeah, it's me. Who are you?

And Kitsune gave you excellent tips. You gotta lower those shipping prices, sell the games individually and you'll be good to go.

The Post Office has flat rate Priority Mail boxes. They come in 2 sizes and anything that fits, no matter how much it weighs, costs $8 to ship. You can get them free from USPS.com

Instead of bubble wrap, try newspaper or crumpled up supermarket plastic bags.

Good man! Yeah, I don't scope the Saturn boards as much as I used to. But that board sure had its share of great times.

Flat Rate Boxes are too much for these items, though. At most the games on that auction (to use an example) would weigh around two pounds - that's around six bucks at most to ship it nationwide! Flat Rate boxes are great for heavy items such as gaming hardware, or if the item is going a long way (like an APO/FPO, Alaska, Puerto Rico or Hawaii) but for CDs, you're better off using an old box or other standard Priority Mail boxes instead.

Bubble wrap is good if the item fits inside the box with less than an inch of space to spare, but if the item is heavy, paper padding material may bend and flatten under the weight of said item.

And thanks for uh, thanking me. :P If you sell a lot, you should order boxes from the USPS. They deliver them for free, and they take a week to arrive.

While all of your suggestions are very good, iirc subtitles will only show up in searches that include descriptions. Since he already had the names in the description, he's not really gaining any 'search value' from a subtitle. However, a subtitle could still make the auction stand out more, and point out the game names for people looking too quickly to open each auction in the search results. So it still may have helped.

But again, everything you mentioned were good ideas. I just wanted to point that out.

The subtitle shows up during a search; I may have been mistaken when I posted a reply earlier, but if he had the list in the subtitle, it would've showed up like this:

OMG HUGE SATURN LOT
Shining Force, X-Men COTA, KOF'95, and more!

Of course, that's not a real auction title. ;) But that's how it would've showed up. A subtitle really draws people towards an item. :)

Well then I misunderstood what you meant (just noobish I guess). What I was talking about was, to use your example; if you just do a default search for "Shining Force" or "X-Men" etc, then that auction listing itself (OMG HUGE SATURN LOT) would not be included in the search results unless you select "search titles and descriptions". That is with or without the subtitle. It wouldn't make a difference for the default search.

That's what I meant when I said it wouldn't "show up". Meaning the auction itself, not the subtitle. I didn't word that very well in the first post.

I knew how the subtitle visually shows up, but obviously, it's only if the auction itself is included in the search results. And his listing would not have shown up in any additional searches is what I was referring to. I didn't say that it was a bad idea. I just said he wasn't going to show up in any additional searches, which is what I thought you meant in your original statement.
