I thought I would start a thread on if there were any specials on video game related items at any chain stores for the 4th. I want to get a DS system lite on the 4th, if I can find a place that might have a free throw in. Any ideas?

I was checking circuit city and they're still giving away accessory packs, online not sure about brick and mortar

Blockbuster's Gamerush has been discounting games and peripherals for a month
or so, but I've noticed another major price reduction timed for the 4th of July.
Wavebird controllers are now $7.50 and HipGear battery packs for them are $.99
Licensed single contollers for all systems are now $3.25, including the boxed
Mortal Kombats and Street Fighter Collectors version. I even found some Star
Wars wireless models for that price. Double controller packs are $5 and
extension cables are $1.50. The game prices have been further reduced to mostly
$3 to $5 apiece now. Remote controls, Eye Toys, GameSharks, ect have all been
lowered to a few bucks.
Yeah, there's some MadCatz stuff in there. But there's also some Naki controllers
as well and I usually like Naki products. The way I look at it is, I can throw a $3
controller down in frustration and not feel bad about breaking it! LOL

well I went to Circut City and they had the promo going, but no DS lites till Wednesday. I went to Target in Oregon and got one Tax free :D. I had an old accessory pack I got at a Toys R US clearance sale. It will work for now, I just need to find myself a new pair of headphones. By the way, the DS lite is AMAZING.
