What i mean is are there any hacked versions of Dragon Quest V or VI on the SNES? I really loved the old Dragon Warrior games along with Dragon Quest VIII on the PS2, and now i want to play V and VI in english. Or is the only way to get them on the Super Famicom and PS2 with Japanese text?[/b]

there have been fan translations of all of the super famicom releases, to get them on actual cartrdiges you'd have to find some of the people who can burn the translations to blank carts (usualy costs around 50ish)

You tell me were i can find one, and i will pay firty bucks for it via PayPal. As long as they will last, and i can get through the game, while understanding the story.

I know that nesreproductions.com had it at one point, might be a good place to start.

That was only for the NES versions though.

He sells a Dragon Warrior 5 game, I bought it myself, works great, fully translated etc, sticker too!

His site is down due to order volume, but it'll be back up eventually, good guy, shipped really quick and well packed too.

You can also play the games on your computer if you'd like to try them out before buying a reproduction (Although honestly they're very well done and are both great games). In addition to Dragon Quest V & VI translations are also available for the SFC remake of Dragon Quest I & II, and Taloon's Great Adventure.

The translation for Dragon Quest 6 is not complete. You will occasionally see things that are not translated (for instance when try and sell an item). Also, there are several bugs that will crash the game, like backing out of the equip menu. There are two translations for Dragon Quest V, one by Dejap and Partial Translations and one by Byuu. The Dejap/Partial Translations one is truely a masterpiece, and could definitely be called Dragon Warrior 5. The Byuu one is perhaps less fleshed out, but I haven't really played it. There is also a completed translation of Dragon Quest I&2. Here are some links:
