Does anyone own a complete Genesis set-up?

Has anyone ever put any serious time into this?

Tell us about it! Because I have no musical skills so this will probably go straight to the CGE museum in Vegas.

If you had the skillz, yo, then you wouldn't need the piano. That's the "miracle" part of it! Although, if you learn fast enough, it might just seem like magic instead.

Wow that went cheap! :o

There was a complete Genesis set-up on ebay not more than 2 months ago. It was over the $100 mark, IIRC it went close to the $200 mark at end. What was really neat about the auction, was the fact that they noted your spread in the Tips+Tricks mag, for it's rarity!! They even had scans from the issue! :D

I owe all of my success as a professional concert pianist to the Miracle Piano Teaching system!

Awesome deal!

Last Fall I bought the keyboard for $60 and AC Adapter from Dustin Sullo (dsullo). It included the NES cable and cart & the styrofoam packing material, but not the box or instruction manual. He also included the pedal, but the pedal is very flat and could very possibly just be the bottom part of the pedal, for all I know. I've never managed to find any pictures of the pedal online, so I don't know if what I have is 'right'.

Unfortunately, I haven't had much time to try the system out, but I have used it as a regular electric piano with a 'Teach Yourself' piano tutorial a couple of times, and once with the NES cart. It is/was very neat. And durable. One morning Nate knocked over the TV tray-table I had the keyboard on, and the 2 came crashing down, with the edge of the wooden TV-table-thing smashing into the top of the keyboard. A couple of the LEDs chipped, but they still work and everything else seems A-OK.

As for using it with the cart, everything is clearly explained on the TV, and the manual isn't really necessary in order to use the cartridge and the keyboard system.

Gimme 5 minutes to figure it out, and I'll school you like I did in Samba :P :-D

Is there really a console video game museum? I always thought it would be a neat idea to have one somewhere.

There really is - have you been to Classic Gaming Expo? Every year we assemble a huge room of consoles, prototypes, and memorabilia.

Go.

I have not yet graced CGE with my presence, I thought about it last year...I may go this year....I've usually backed out because I heard CGE is mostly pre-nes stuff, of which I've only ever collected 2600....I still think it would be interesting, if not for anything else than to meet some DP'ers in person.
