4 Color Rebellion linked a pretty interesting post on Zog Dog, it's a concept to a Wii styled Power Glove. Now, I know the original Power Glove didn't blow over so well. But this concept looks really promising. What do you guys think?

A neat idea, def a boon for boxing games. This is the attraction to the Wii for me. There are so many possibilties with that controller.

That's what attracts me. There are just so many things you can do with that controller. Boxing, shit, I didn't even think about that. Put two controllers in your hands and wail on some poor bastard.

What's the point of having any kind of VR glove without finger flex sensors? This is basically just a tensor bandage that you can stuff a controller into.

No reason why a finger flex add-on couldn't be made to attach to the controller, nunchuck style. That could actually be very nice for a RTS type game. Wanna move a troop, pick him up and move him.
Remember, this is just some guys idea that he drew out one night. We're just talking possibilities.

The boxing idea has been stated many time over, its old news. I'm sure Nintendo is planned to milk out any new controllers or ways to use, and implement the Wii controller as well.
I own the original power glove, but the question always stands. How much, and how effective, and how many gaming/developers can we get to use this thing.

The problem with the Power Glove was that no games were ever released that were specifically made for it (well, 1 was, I think). More were planned....using the glove for games that didn't originalyy use it was a total chore. Pain in the ass. Even though it came with a book of settings for certain games, it just didn't work right.
I think technology is a little better now...developers should be able to think of all kinds of creative ways to use the rev controller.
What I'm looking forward to is all the games where a player must use two controllers...like two light sabers or two guns, or two drum sticks, or two women. ;) LOL

In the latest EGM, LUCUS said something about using the Wii controller for a new light saber game.

LUCUS...that's the guy from the movie that said the Power Glove was "so bad."
Interesting. I must have missed the interview with him. I can't believe they got him to do it.

I think everyone saw this coming. That guy is going to make even more money than he already has with that idea.

Anyone else remember that someone (Pelican? Naki?) brought out a power-glove pretender for the N64/Playstation in the late 90's accessory boom for both consoles? Apparently they were well past shitty to the point of being completely worthless.
