There was a pearl white Gamecube, that came out in Japan to celebrate Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles that was extremelly rare. But never did a Pearl White Gamecube come out over here with that regualr box. http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=320003222839&fromMakeTrack=true

Well it could have started as a PAL one like this
Here (http://cgi.ebay.com/NEW-PEARL-WHITE-GAMECUBE-SEALED-LIMITED-EDITION-CUBE_W0QQitemZ120005275604QQihZ002QQcategoryZ20391 QQssPageNameZWDVWQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem)

That he swapped the insides out with an NTSC system when he was modding it?? The only thing I can think of atm. He doesn't show the box close up or on the right side of it to show where it would normally say "PAL"

why in god's name does the controller look so fugly?

well i first thought it would've been the Mario Smash Football one, which came in the regular box (with another paper wrapping around it tho) but as he states it plays us games only...but if you look at the box of the gamecube, isn't that the PAL artwork? i thought the NTSC Cubes in the style like this:
http://images.amazon.com/images/P/B00006IJJI.01-A10ZZM8A327W38._SS500_SCLZZZZZZZ_V64374410_.jpg

or is this complete bullshit, what i'm talking? ^^

but if, then it could be a sprayjob with a pal box...

/Edit:
if you read the text closely it get's more clearly that it seems to be a sprayjob, since everything else is modded, too...doesn't explain the box tho :P

Does that official PAL system play US games? And would that have the outlet for componet cables?

That ain't the rare Japanese Pearl White, that's for sure. The FF:CC Pearl White cube has a sort of yellowish tint, like a metallic white paint job on a car. It's more of an off white than a white -- and I don't care how bad the pictures of that console are, that's not even close.

No, A PAL system won't play US games without a mod. I think this may be a PAL cube with a mod chip. Definitely NOT worth $200, IMO. Get a nice JP cube with a region switch for half the price -- it'll have component out, too.

Edit: Holy shit, that's a $400 BIN! That gets you a nice modded Panasonic Q -- which is MUCH MUCH cooler.

If this system is so rare then why did he mod the controller and console? Wouldnt that take away from the value.

Haha...my thought exactly. The one quote, "The deck lid jewel was also mod with a cool blue led light instead of that ugly orange one", kinda gives it away. Looks like a clever paint-job to me.

I think you're right. If you look closely at the controller, the Nintendo Gamecube text is still there and looking pretty good (and that would be an extreme pain to try and paint around). The system itself shows absolutely no signs of it being painted. And the box is indeed a PAL box. So here we have a PAL boxed Gamecube with American NTSC innards, an aftermarket blue LED, and the original controller. Also comes with a component cable and a third-party S-video cable. Worth $200? Nope...I'd say no more than $130-$150 for the whole package (even with the component cables).
