how can you tell the difference between ntsc and pal nintendo games just by looking at the cart?

The bottom right or left of a cart will have a code written on it.
US NES games will have something like "NES-XX-USA"
With XX being replaced for different letters for different games.
PAL games will have a variety of different things. Some things you will see is it might have a big bold A or B specifying PAL A, or PAL B.
The code will also not say "USA", rather it will say some other country like "UKV" or something.
Codes with "CAN" are Canadian, though, and are NTSC.

The quickest way is to look for the A and B. These are more visible on pictures too. Early games like from the black series doesnt have A or B on them.
