Ok so I am looking to rent games and movies online any suggestions...

I just got gamefly and they have tons of games... but its pricy and I can rent only one at a time for 15 a month.

any other suggestions... I looked at netflix but they only had movies.

I also found intelliflix.... which seems the best to me lots of movies, mature titles ;), and games... but there 360 list is kinda shabby and thats what I mainly want to rent.... anyone have this service... any good?

another I found was... gameznflix anyone have that one???

OK so any info on this would be great I am looking around... and dont mind a long term contract for cheaper rentals... 3 out at a time is ideal.

Thanks!!!!

I am not the one to answer this, but I know Gamereviewgod raves about Into The Game.

Meh, go with the 2 out at a time deal, and get a used PSP. You can rent games and movies (UMDs) from Gamefly. All the other ones suck ass and have a crap selection of either one.

I was debating this a while back myself. Gamefly is a bit pricey, but they make up for it with selection. I think they get every title that comes out. They were a bit slow on sending me my first couple of rentals, but have been much quicker since.

Into The Game wasn't bad on price, and delivered faster than Gamefly, but didn't have the selection.

I hear nothing but good things about Netflix.

I'd do one of each instead of looking for the all-in-one solution. You'd be using two companies who have excellent selections, and the minor price difference makes up for it.

I really like netflix, but I think sometimes their size and popularity are a bit of a con if you're looking for rare or out of print stuff.

Netflix has almost everything in way of movies, but they suually lack obscure stuff most likely because of people signing up and renting ultra rare dvds like The Beyond, and reporting them "mssing."

Intelliflix seemed pretty good, they had some harder to find stuff that netflix didn't, but that may just be because they're not as big, and not as many people have ripped them off yet.

If ITG doesn't have what you want, request it. They'll have it in a matter of days. As of now, there's only ne 360 game they don't carry, FIFA World Cup. Also, they're a lot cheaper and you can get the four games out package without waiting.

I just signed up yesterday because I saw GRG praising them so much...since I always see him playing something new, the service must be pretty good ;)

That and I browsed the forums a bit and they seemed to actually give a crap about their customers. I especially like the request a game thread.

I should be getting my first games this week so we'll see if it turns out ok or not.

ditto, I signed up today as well, I was shocked to see they have saturn and sega cd games, 7 for each, mind you, but still its good to see the old systems getting love. I should have my first two games soon.

Gotta give alot of credit to gamefly... they do get every game.. for the most part, I can't think of a title they didn't get. And they reward you with discounts and such after continued service. Intelliflix, is so so, their support, is c-, and they have a decent sellection, the one plus for them, is they have shipping warehouses on the east coast, whereas Gamefly doesn't. Netflix is great for DVD's, nuff said.

Damn it. I could've refferred you and got a buck off. ;)

Oh well. Anyway, if you ever have a problem, e-mail them. They honestly respond in a matter of hours, sometimes even on weekends. Shouldn't take more than three days to get a game, though it obviously slows during Christmas.

shit, 3 days, thats on par with gamefly.. do they have east coast offices, or everything comes out of CA? If so I won't be keeping them.. oh well.

i think you can also rent them from blockbuster online

at the moment im comparing both netflix and blockbuster online and i wasnt happy with either of them

i like the netflix interface - but blockbuster seems to be faster

i also got on this bandwaggon for the obscure movies you dont find at the local shops - i get them but i wait a long time

current movies come lighting fast but not the older and lesser known titles

netflix and blockbuster both have movies that each dosent have - netflix seems to be easier to order tv shows and has more of them - also seems to have more foreign films

i still havent decided which to go with since i like the netflix site better but they take a week to recive my movies (they must keep all the obscure ones in one place i hope it was just a holiiday problem) and blockbuster has been much faster. ill decide when the month is over

All west coast. However, the return time is a lot quicker, probably because they have less to process. Three days will be about the usual time frame no matter where you go. I didn't fnd a single company close when I was looking.

Gamezn flix looks pretty good. But do they get the new games right away? Too bad they don't rent DS games.

I've been bragging about my rental program for quite some time now. Mentioning over and over that I rent Xbox 360 games for $3.50 per month. I haven't mentioned Gameznflix by name, because I'm scared to death that tons and tons of people will jump on the bandwagon, and then it will take me forever to get the games that I want. But since other folks have spilled the beans, I might as well talk about it.

Basically, the deal with Gamezflixs, is that to really get the best deal, the most value, you have to go with the 6 at a time plan. It just makes the most sense. Only problem with the 6 at a time plan is the fact that you have to fork over $250 in "ADVANCE" for your year of service. But, if you are willing to drop that much coin, you get rewarded with the best rental deal currently available on this planet. To only pay $3.50 to rent a game for a full freaking month is highway robbery!! It's really amazing to me, that you can get a deal this sweet. $21 per month, for 6 games at a time, just can't be fucked with. I mean...try to top that. It ain't gonna happen.

Of course, most people will say, "Dude, $250 fucking dollars??? I could buy a Nintendo Wii with that. Sure that's a great deal, but I can't fork over $250 in one shot. I could deal with that price on a monthly basis, but I can't pay that much up front."

This is actually a good thing for me, because tons of people aren't jumping on the bandwagon, because they don't have $250 to throw at it. If you are going with 3 at a time, on a monthly basis, I think GameFly is the better deal. Ultimately, $250 is a ton of money to throw at a rental plan, but man, it's the most economically sound decision you can make. I've done some analysis on purchasing versus leasing, and Purchasing any game that is over $29.99 is just not logical. Not when you can rent said game for $3.50 per month. Most folks will claim to be hardcore, and say that they want to "OWN" the game for themselves, they don't like the idea of leasing. But those same fuckers end up turning around and taking that game to GameStop, and getting 1/6th of what they originally paid for it, in credit, and then they turn around and buy another $59.99 game, which is about $65 with tax, and continue the cycle.

If you can simply change your unconcious need to "own" things, and if you can wrap your dome piece around "leasing" them for a given time, you will ultimately realize that buying any game above $29.99 makes absolutely no sense whatsoever. Even for collectors it makes no sense whatsoever. And on top of that....if you are going to buy a game for $29.99 you better be damn sure that it's a game that is going to keep your focus for much, much longer than say 9 months. Most gamers think they're going to be playing a certain game for a whole year, but in practice, they play them for around 90 days, or maybe 6 months on and off, and that's about it. Then it either ends up on the shelf collecting dust, or is traded into GameStop for pennies on the dollar in store credit to be abused yet again. The smart ones Craigslist their games before their value has dipped below $30. The slightly smart ones Ebay their games before their value has dipped below $35 (gotta cover the damn fees). The price that you should actually be focusing in on, is $19.99. When you see a game like King Kong (360) at Sears for $19.99, then you go snag it. Or Project Gotham Racing 3, or Perfect Dark Zero or Kameo. All those games are $19.99, and all those games are worth $19.99 Maybe even getting Burnout Revenge (360) for $29.99 (at Fry's) isn't a bad idea either. But you people paying $59.99 (plus tax takes it to almost $65) just blow my mind! Where do you people get the money to do that? I evny you. You guys must certainly make 10 times what I do. Cause I can't afford that shit by a longshot. For me, I don't even consider purchasing a game until it gets to $29.99 or below, and I really don't like messing around with $29.99 either. That's like $33 with tax. That's a lot of fucking money. I can rent a game for 9 months via my rental plan for that same price, and to be totally honest, so many freaking good games are constantly coming out, I have so many great retro games as well, that it's very, very, very rare that a game will lock me down for more than 9 months. Very fucking rare. Even a game like Madden. (I love NFL Football games, always have) Whatever happens to be the best NFL game, will dominate my play time from late August till the SuperBowl. But once the SuperBowl has been played, I take a break. I don't play football games in the off-season. I know that's kinda strange, but that's just the way that I do it. For example, this Madden that's coming out later this month. It will take one of my 6 slots for sure, and if it's a decent game of football (unlike last years 360 version which sucked monkey balls), then I will hold onto it for almost 6 months. Late August, into February. About 6 months. At $3.50 per month. That's $21, to simply lease Madden for a 6 month period of time. I'll be doing the same thing with whatever ends up being the best NBA game this year, be it NBA 2K7 or NBA Live '07. Except with those games coming out in late September, I'll be renting one of them for almost 10 months or so. No need to actually buy the game. Why? Sports games never have trade in value, and a new version comes out every year. Hell, big games in general come out every year. With the modern day advent of these low cost rental plans, the idea of leasing your video games instead of buying them, should be weighing on your mind. You should be pondering this, and maybe changing your mind about the whole concept of ownership. Think of it this way...... The only way it would make sense not to rent, is if you plan to keep a game forever. You never, ever, plan to sell it or trade it in. You are going to keep the thing for ever and ever. But even if that's the case, all games eventually hit $19.99. They can start out at $59.99 or even $64.99 or $69.99 (as some PS3 games might be), but they will eventually find themselves in a bargain bin with a $19.99 sticker on it. So if you buy a game for $59.99, then you could have actually rented that game for over a full year, and then find it somewhere for $19.99, and you might even save about $2 or $3 over buying it for $59.99 or more.

Why on EARTH doesn't gameznflix have DS games?

Intelliflix is HORRIBLE!!!!!!! Their game selection stops at 2004, and their customer service gets an absolute F-.

Read what happened here: http://www.digitpress.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=85649&highlight=intelliflix

I've got Blockbuster online for movies (the instore movie coupons rock) and gamefly for games. I'm looking at intothegame tho... slightly cheaper and maybe they'll have less shipping problems. I've had 4 games get lost in the mail...

After hearing all the hooplah about gameznflix I may have to try it (thouh on the monthly plan for now, as I still have netflix and don't plan to cancel).

I tried gamefly but was unsatisfied with extremely low shipping, lost games and high cost (2 games for $21, WTF?). But gamezflix seems nice, $17 for three things is pretty good. And if it turns out I like the movie selection just as much as netflixs' I may cancell that and drop the $250 at gmesznflix.

I signed up for GamesnFlix on the 8th. Two days later I got my first three selections. It costs $16.99 (cheaper than Into The Game), and I love it for being able to rent games and movies.

I rented V for Vendetta, Munich and Stacked for the Xbox.

I sent the two movies back and got Metal Gear Solid: Digital Graphic Novel and Chibi-Robo. It said High Demand for both of these titles, but I got them right away.

Wonderful service so far. They have a warehouse in PA, and I get stuff in a day or two.
