Need help on Brandish... consolidation?

Anyone know, or have the manual that can tell me? I've read the FAQ but it says nothing on how to consolidate, yet one tip is "Consolidate your gold bars!" Well, I would if I knew how! It's annoying to have 5 different health potions when I bet I could combine them to take up only 1 spot.

I tried plenty of button combinations but found no luck. I mean, Koei couldn't have NOT included a consolidate option could they? That'd be silly...

I believe I have the manual (at my store). If this doesn't get answered by tomorrow, I'll let you know what I find out.
