So this is a game that always looked interesting and have been curious to play.

And since I own a TI-99, I was wondering how this version is.

I do not own a intellivision and really have no desire to, don't collect pre-nes.So anybody own this cart?

I do. It was an interesting game, but fairly complicated. No matter what I tried, I couldn't keep my patient alive. It's a fascinating game to play, but I never really got all that into it. I'd play, get bored, and would go back to Tunnels of Doom. :)

I've had this game for years. Actually, I had it as a kid, sold my TI-99, then got it back years later as well as the game. I always thought it kind of sucked, then when I finally saw the Intellivision version, that blew me away, and became the definitive version. I liked how the Intellivision version scrolled (the TI-99 version doesn't, it goes from screen to screen), and hate how slow-w-w the TI-99 version is. That being said, when I got my Ti-99 and games "back" years later, I also finally got a speech synthesizer, and had not realized that the TI-99 version also has speech (the Intellivision version doesn't), which does add a new dimension. Also the layout is different; the Ti-99 version has some displays to the side, including a status display (the Intellvision version has it as a separate screen) and a hospital room view (you get an occasional visitor). So I don't think it sucks so bad anymore but still prefer the Intellvision version by a mile.

If you find this game cheap, make sure to get it, but make sure you have the speech synthesizer to fully appreciate it. (It's been a while since I played and don't remember what the voices even say.)

It's a very fun game for the TI-99, and I must agree with k8track, it is much better with the speech synthesizer attached. But it's a game you'll find yourself playing quite a bit one evening, and then not play for quite a while afterwards. At least that's how it was for me.
