So I found an Arcade Game Rygar in a Williams Bubbles case near my house for 200 and maybe lower.... I am thinking about getting it....

First is it a good deal?

Second, How easy is it to change games on arcade machines??? I would like Punch out , mario, and stuff that those play choice systems have. But I know nothing about arcades... could this be done?

Thanks!!!

Oh and if this is the wrong place for this please move it :)

I personally have no interest in games like that. I only want original. Unless I had an original Bubbles Board to put into it, I wouldn't buy it at any price.

Get it and convert it back to Bubbles. Excellent game.

Up to you. I'd pass on it unless I could land it for $100 or so for the cab, and even then it would depend on the condition. YMMV. :)

Depends on a) what you have and b) what you want to turn it into. If you have the time, skill, and money, you can convert anything into anything, but it's usually best to restore a game (like the Bubbles example above) or stick with converting games with similar controls.

Easiest to convert: JAMMA cab for plug and play convenience, as long as the monitor orientation is the same on the two games you're swapping and you've got the proper controls. Some manufacturers have their own systems too like Neo Geo, Nintendo Vs., PC-10, etc.

Sure, best thing to do in this case is buy a PlayChoice cab. Then it's just a matter of plug and play.

thanks.... I think I will just wait till I get the $$$$ and buy what I want....

Here are my goals for the future...

Donkey Kong
Mario Bros.
Frogger
Pac-Man
and a Play Choice with a ton of games

Also a few pinball Mario games would be cool. but those are really pricy

i'm not sure if the pinouts for mario/donkey kong are the same. i have a popeye board that looks to have the same pinout as the playchoice.

i'd have a look on www.crazykong.com for pinouts.
