It's true. Gears of War, Forza 2 and Viva Pinata are all set to launch on October 2nd 2006.

That's going to be one hell of a day

I can't quite believe this myself. I am sure Microsoft will stagger these. They'd be fools to drop all three on the same day, even if they are all in radically different genres.

Gears will probably slip, anyway.

I'd have to try out a demo of Viva Pinata before I buy it. It doesn't look too appealing for someone in my age bracket.

But I'm all over GoW and FM2.

And I realized another blow to our wallets - alot of people who are gonna buy Forza 2, are gonna want microsofts steering wheel, too. Lets hope that comes out as well..

This is percicesly why I love Fall! :D

Yeah same question. I haven't seen this reported anywhere major yet. And any site selling it is not to be trusted.

that would be awesome.
date definetely make sense - they'll sell another few million consoles before PS3 and Wii will come out as these games are pretty much must haves(I wish RAREWARE would finally release Banjo-Threeie and maybe some Killer Instincts for Xbox Live Arcade, how awesome that would be?).

The article fails to confirm itself. It states the dates are on Xbox.com, but they aren't. Following the links on that page shows you release dates of TBD.

I hope that they DON'T fall on the $ame day! LOL

Glad to hear something at least half way definite about Forza. I'm tired of the racers that are currently on 360. They're good but they're all arcadey.....and I crave a game with some Turismo-styled automotive tweaking in it.

Just some food for thought. They have been posting and pulling dates on Xbox.com here and there. And it is usually human error, meaning the dates that show up on Xbox.com for 3 minutes should not be trusted, as they always get replaced with TBD quickly.
