Hey.. I am sure that this was probably discussed at one time or another, but I am must have missed it. Indulge me again if you can...
So, tell me the name of your Xbox.
Mine is Whicker. :embarrassed:
If you don't know the name of your Xbox, put in Halo, then go to multiplayer splitscreen. The word above the picture of the XBOX is the name.

Mine wins,Hambone. :D :-D I think you can change it with Live but I like my name so screw that. :P

I believe that you can change it... but I won't... even with Whicker.
It's one of the (few) things that I like about the Xbox is naming each one. It gives it some uniqueness.
Whicker was how he was born, and I wouldn't dream of changing it. It would be like renaming my firstborn!

How can you tell what your Xbox is "named"?

To see your Xbox name, start Halo, go into multi-player mode, choose "Split Screen", "Profile", and "Location". After all that is done, there will be a screen that reads "Waiting for more players". The picture of the Xbox is directly above your profile name, and above your picture will be a word. That word will be used as your name when XBox goes online. This works best when there is only one controller plugged into the Xbox, so the multi-player game will not start before you see your name.
You should see a screen like this:

I believe that you can change the name of your Xbox through codes in Cel Damage, DOA 3, and possibly others.

I love the names they give you,but I lovethe names they give you in Halo if you fon't put in a name.Wilshire,The big L,and Donut come to mind. LOL

Heh, were I stoned I'd think that MS bought Sega, and all the DreamCasts, instantly turned into XBoxes!!!

Well I read this while I was at work so I had to call and wake up my brother at home to find out the name of mine. Caboose..... What a let down! :(
