Yeah, simple pin-extension converters so you can play US SNES games on a Japanese Super Fami. There's no cart slots on the rear for defeating the security chip, so they're certainly not intended for any PAL usage.
Notice that one has the extra pins for Super FX (etc.) carts, and one doesn't.

As I said, they're both adaptors. If you look at the pics you can see both of them have cart slots on the top. JUst that one is bigger than the other.

ok, i just added another picture to show the other end that has NO opening. LOL ADAPTOR??? it only has 1 connector just like a cart! how is this an adaptor??

The second cart is a dummy for a SFam copier, it might have that chip in it that allows you to play certain roms that require it, can't remember it's name right now, but odds are there's nothing in it with it being so non-descript, feel if it's light or heavy, or just open it to see if there's a chip on the board.
I've had one of those with nothing on the board, don't know the use of it when there's nothing in it, but it's definitely for a copier.

Yeah, the bigger adapter is probably a DSP chip cart for a backup unit, and would be required to play games like Mario Kart. If you can open it up, it would be interesting to see a pic of the PCB.
