You are screwed indeed, you can't use someone elses access #, it is game, and system specific..which really sucks for you...sorry about your luck man... >.<

I don't believe the online part would even matter anymore, because I'm pretty sure Sega shut down the DC servers already.
EB should know better than to be selling you a USED copy of the game without the numbers. That's bull.

well, the guy was pretty nice about the whole thing.
he was saying that he thought you didnt even need a serial number along with the game. And i said the problem might be that that was version 1, and sega thought oh the dreamcast seganet thing will NEVER die! and they were wrong. so, i cant even play the game w/o getting past the title screen.
is there some kind of serial number override password? one so that you can play offline but not online?

That sucks man. I have PSO v1 and never encountered a "serial number" exept
for the Dream Point Bank number. Certainly nothing that would interfere with gameplay.

I am prompted for serial number everytime I create a new character but I haven't played oline for so long. Anyway it' system specific only if you go online, the server records the console's serial number and game's number. but if Sega's going to axe PSO v1 server, then there's really no point in keeping serial number just to yourself. beside I have GC version to play with now.
serial number (only for v1)
E88A6B68
access key
uH8kMThH (yes, it's cap senstive)
Since it's now made public, I'd guess Sega is going to block this one if the server's still on.

Yes, you and up to 3 friends can explore..but in GC version it is 10 a month to play...

Correction: $8 a month. And I got ripped off. You're supposed to get the first month free, and I got charged from the start.

how much is the Gamecube broadband network modem? I want to get it, but im afraid of it either going down, or the fact that NO games are playable on it except PSO

Broadband for GC is $35 and they are readily available now. There was a shortage before December due to high demand. But don't worry, if you play only offline you don't need the adapter or to pay $8 a month (unlike XBox version which does require online access and XBox Lives account to play offline)

Good luck finding a broadband adapter for GC, GENISNES.I'm still looking for a Dreamcast Broadband adapter for cheap but it's still too hard to find and it's hard to find for a decent price thats not over $100.00.
