I've been reading the recent mags lately, and there's almost enough games to sell me on a 360, but not quite. 99 Nights, Enchanted Arms, Lumines Live, Phantasy Star Universe, and Dead Rising all look like something I'd play.
I'm not into sports games or FPS. So sell me on a 360. Are there any marketplace games worth playing that are coming out in the future? What about online? I've enjoyed Xband and FFXI immensly online. Is there anything that would wow me right now that's online?

Pac-Man
Cloning Clyde (Its' really fun)

Sonic The Hedgehog (the original and a new version)

Theres a ton more..
Is that a good enough list?

If you're into racing the upcomming Test Drive Unlimited looks really rad. If it turns out to be as good as it looks I'll probably get a 360 for this game alone (though I'm sure I won't have any trouble find other games I'll like :) ).

Lumines? Is it exclusive? If so, I'm sold.

Well. It's on the PSP... But no online play and no downloadable skins and music videos.
I haven't heard anything on a sequel or 'remix' for the PSP version.

D'oh!! Oh well.... At least we still get the game. That's good enough.

if you need other people to sell you on a system, then you probably shouldn't buy it.....if there isn't a game on the 360 that makes you want to buy it without coaxing, then you will probably feel like you wasted $400+....\
....now, there was enough there back in January for me to buy it and since purchasing it, i have played it a lot and ive loved every minute....
...achievement points are enough to sell me on the 360....im hard pressed to play games on other systems now, especially since no other system has achievement points....
....the PS3 and Wii better have something similar, or those 2 systems are gonna gather a lot of dust once i get them....

Achievement points?
the thing in my signature.....you get points in xbox 360 games for doing certain things....beating the game, finding secret areas, etc. and these points go into your profile...with xbox live, people anywhere can see what your points are and what you have completed in your games....sort of like an online bragging system that anyone can see....

Oh ok. I didn't know what you were talking about. That's pretty cool, but what if you don't use Xbox live? are they useless then?

i guess so....sort of.....but, id have to say that the xbox 360 was more or less made to be taken on live.....its almost like having a tv with cable or satellite service....

I guess what interests me most is the online side of X360. Online play and marketplace are what has me the most interested.

ya the achievement points thing has me too...... I finally played through windwaker on gamecube the other day and when I beat it was like... "wheres my Achievement unlocked icon?" and then realized... oh ya this isnt 360.
When I first heard about Gamerscore points... I didnt even think much about it... just interested in the games.. but it grows on you and now I cant imagine any company not including something similar int heir next gen strategy.
It's just like Sothy hinted at.
Achievement points give you reasons for completing games on all levels, for getting 100%, for trying other genres of games and for putting in all of that time and MORE time on top of it. It's an ingenious "carrot in front of the donkey".
I completed Tomb Raider, got points and a reason to replay levels on different difficulties and find every hidden token in the game. My friend cleared the same game on his PS2....and had absolutely NO reason to go back in and find all of the hidden tokens that he'd missed. Achievements keep you playing long after the initial game is "beaten". They give value for your bucks, so much so that playing a game on any other console is a rip-off compared to the 360.

Well you could still use the free silver account and show it off to your friends too, then they aren't really useless.
I just picked up an Xbox 360 and love it. Fight Night Round 3 is easily one of the greatest sports games of all time.
