View Full Version : 1989 Original Game Boy long grey carrying case..worth?

Hi all, A friend of mine gave me a long Game Boy carrying case today. It has "Nintendo GAME BOY" on it, and it holds the old 1989 Game Boy (included), 7 Game Boy games in the white snap cases that Nintendo used to make, and a NUBY Game Light, and a link cable for the old GB.
Any idea what one of these is worth? We are going to sell it as a bundle in our store, just trying to get a feel for it.

This is going to get locked, but I dont think that case is worth much unless maybe its still boxed. And even then I dont think its worth much.

$2-5, tops. It's a curiosity for a die hard GB fan at this point, not much more.

Yup. :) I got mine earlier this year for $5, if it were any more than that I wouldn't have gotten it. It's a nice little case for me to stash my system and games from being in the open.

Yeah, don't pay over $5 for one of those. They are extremely common. In fact, I personally wouldn't pay more than $2-3 for it.

Loose Game Boy cases are horribly common. A few bucks at most.

I sold one of those on these boards last year for $10.

In any event, it really doesn't matter. They all should run about the same, less than $10.

Ya, it's really nice, I love it! I carry my brick and color in it, you should see the looks on people's faces when I walk into IHOP with it and place it on the table, drinking a bunch of coffee while gaming with a few buds. *Priceless*
Personally I'd like to see a docking station made for handhelds that makes it into a table arcade or something. :D
But really, I do need to find a carrying case for my DS soon, not sure what to go with. Anyone know? The GameStop one is alright but not my taste.

They did make one for the Game Boy Pocket, though. It looks pretty much the same, but is black. Should fit a GBC nicely.

A poor picture, but it works. I believe it's even made by the same people which made the original. Though, I'd have to check to be sure, and I'm lazy.
