I know that there is a VGA cord for the 360, but what can I do about the original Xbox? Is there a cord I can get for it, or am I stuck using a VGA converter of some sort?

xbox never had vga box - well not officially anyway.

there were few home brew based true VGA boxes but not sure whether you can still get 'em. I had one of very early prototype and it worked at 480p/720p/1080i but sold it for a nice price to another collector two years ago when I moved to component

I have my Xbox running with a VGA setup, no internal modification required! Sort of...

I use a modchip with a VGA BIOS and a second generation Microsoft HD cable, looks amazing on a 21" CRT monitor!

Plus, with the BIOS bank switch on the modchip I can switch between VGA mode and component mode, all with the same cable.
