View Full Version : Is it possible to convert INTV1 to INTV2 controllers?

Hello, my name is Adam, and I'm an intelliholic.

I have four Intellivisions. Two that won't turn on, one with no sound, and one Intv2 with 4 barely working Intv2 controllers. This makes me a sad boy. I have three (One died in a previous attempt at a conversion) wonderfully working Intv1 controllers. Now, I know that these are "non removeable", but I also know quite well from opening it up that they are in fact very easily removed. I was wondering if anyone might be able to help me with pinouts, or possible ideas for easy construction of a convertor (or conversion) from Intv1 to Intv2 for one of these puppies.. I *assume* the wiring and construction should be identical, but I'm not quite as handy with these things as I'd like to be, and would appreciate any help anyone might be able to give.

Thanks a lot!

You could try soldering the wires to the INTV2 pinouts. It's something I've considered, but never actually done. You'd have to dissect an INTV2 controller connector to see what colours went where.

Also, this should be in the Restoration forum.
