I bought an arcade monitor, but I can't find any information online for it. It's a Mitsubishi, and the only serial number I can find on it is 510ukb22. I know its a newer monitor, well at least new enough to run SF2, because the health bars are burned into the screen :) Anyway, can anybody help me out?

Are you sure the monitor is a mitsubishi, or is that the tube?

Compare the actual chassis to those from: http://www.therealbobroberts.net/monitor.html . If it's newer, check the K7000 first as that's probably the most common from that era... or possibly a Hantarex Polo (is it 19" or 25"?)

You're right-it's the tube. I have no idea how to determine which one of these is mine...I do know it's a 19" though.

Can you post a pic of it? We can probably ID it from even the crappiest pic of the chassis ;) . For a 19", I'd say the most common are K7000, K4900, K4600, G07, and maybe a Hantarex MTC9000 or 900/E.

Does this work or do I need another angle?

That works... I've worked on a few of those... and hated every one :P . They're a Kaga/TSK KZ-19V, which I think is also the same as (or very similar to) the Sega MC-2000-S.

Thanks! :D Ok, now for the inevitable next question. Is there a place where I can download some schematics to figure out what wire goes where? I did a google search and came up with nothing...

EDIT: It looks like mikesarcade.com had what I needed, but all their links are dead :/

What's the monitor doing/not doing? I've read various places that the caps are commonly bad on these, so I guess a cap kit would probably be a good place to start. I had one that kept blowing the fuse... that one had a bad flyback... and I had two chassis' kept going into over current protection, but never got around to fixing those (probably a shorted transistor or something).

I'm a newbie when it comes to anything with an arcade machine. Basically I have a cab, a monitor, a PCB, and a power supply. I just have no idea what wire goes where. There are plastic connectors at the ends of the wires of the monitor, but they don't fit in anywhere on the power supply or pcb (Golden Tee 97). I'm so lost :(

Here's an overview: http://www.therealbobroberts.net/buildit.html

Basically, I'd mount everything and connect the power and power pins from the harness to the power supply, then hook up your monitor power and signal (MAKE SURE YOU RUN THE MONITOR POWER THROUGH AN ISOLATION TRANSFORMER). The problem w/ that monitor is that it doesn't use a standard monitor input connector... it has a smaller connector, so you'll need to make an adapter or redo the connector.

Once you get the game board powered and the video hooked to the monitor, you should at least see the game work... then you just need to do the easy but tedious job of wiring the control panel and coin door.
