Wow,

I know that it’s been brought up before but I gotta mention is again. EB has an AWESOME special going on right now.

They’ve changed the terms from what I’ve last heard. The new sale is that if you spend $75 on ANY used Dreamcast stuff, games, accessories or both combined you get a free used Dreamcast console. On top of this they’re still honoring the special where you get $25% off used Dreamcast games if you buy 5 or more.

The way I see this is that one way or another, your going to spend $75, but with both sales combined you can get more games for that same $75 to go with your free Dreamcast. And shit, if you already have a Dreamcast you can just resell the free console with any extra or unwanted games you might have and make your $75 back. It’s like getting most of the games you choose for free.

I bought a brand new Dreamcast at a pawn shop this weekend for $35.
It looks like it wasn't ever even played, surprised there wasn't a box.

Funny thing is, Gamestop wanted to sell me a used DC that looked like it had been through a torture chamber, and sent to hell, and back for $60, HA! It pays to shop around!

That EB deal is a good deal too though "as long as the DC isn't crap", but I just wanted to brag about mine :p

I came very close to going in on that deal, but I couldn't find $75 worth of used Dreamcast stuff to buy at one of my local EBs, maybe time to go to some of the others!! I ditched that deal when I found the game Hooligans for my PC!! Pretty fun game (although my firm keeps getting dusted).

scooter brings up an interesting point. Do you have to spend all $75 at once, or can you save receipts from other stores?

I think that you have to spend $75 in one transaction but I can be wrong. How would they know if you used the same receipt over and over in multiple stores?

I don't think you could spread it out over several stores, although it would be helpful. I just wish I could buy new DC games... the one I went to had lots of good new games, but nothing good used!
