Fruit Roll-Ups, Gunstar Heroes, Landstalker

Hey Folks,

I have a friend that bought these two Genesis games when they were new and they were part of a strange Promotion: They both came with Fruit Roll-Ups inside. My friend has not opened these Fruit Roll-Ups and has left them intact. Anybody have more info on this? More importantly, anyone want to fathom a guess as to the rarity of this? Exactly how much would a Fruit Roll Up drive up the value, lol?

Nope...it's true, they both came with Fruit roll-ups. There's really no more info to be had other than that the Fruit roll-ups are EXTREMELY rare to find cause everyone ATE em! :) I'd guess they're worth between $5 and $10 each, and honestly, I'd pay $5 each for them myself if he wanted to sell em, as long as they're the original ones that came with the games. They don't raise the prices a TON but they are nearly impossible to find.

Hmmm, good input. Also, My friend was going to double check, but he did not think the FRUs had any special destinguishing marks to designate them as part of the promo (they didn't say Sega or anything on them). So does any one know any more about the promotion? WHat other games offered this?

If anyone's REALLY hungry..

I've got some Sonic 3 Lifesavers still in their original packaging. They're Blue Rad flavor. It says copyright 1993 Sega, and although my friend convinces me because there is sugar in them, they're ok. I refuse to even open them... although I could win a Genesis and Sonic 3 if I do!
