I have a long list of protos and their owners that I am working on. However, I've ran acrossed several protos that I do not know who owns. I have a list of those games below if anybody could please help me name the owner :) Some protos have more than one copy so if you know who own any of the copies would be appreciated. Thanks.

Released NTSC:
720
Battle of Olympus
M.C. Kids - Still one unclaimed....
Megaman 3
Rad Gravity - Still one unclaimed

Unreleased NTSC:
Airball - Still one unclaimed....
Cue Stick (3) - Still one unclaimed....

I've got an NTSC Solomon's Key 2 proto, which is the same as Fire and Ice but the credits all say Solomon's Key 2.

Traded some NES test carts to a collector for this.

Unreleased NTSC:
Airball - 4 released and I have 3 owners so far; need the 4th
Adv. Of Robin Hood
Atomic Punk
California Raisins
Cue Stick (3) - Need to know who owns the 3rd cart
Free Fall

PAL Unreleased:
Hero Quest

It's hard to know which Airball owner you're missing out of the four. Portnoyd maybe?

Robin Hood is DreamTR.

I've never heard of Atomic Punk, where did you get this information?

California Raisins is linlhutz.

The final version of Cue Stick was stolen from the post office, and has not resurfaced.

Free Fall doesn't exist on a cartridge, the ROM came from binary code the author saved. There was a cartridge he had labeled Free Fall, but it contained the final version of Death Race.

Hero Quest belongs to postermen.

Might be a shorter list if you just ask which protos aren't owned by DreamTR and just assume that everything else that ever exsisted is somewhere in his appartment...

Wow....sorry for not responding guys. I went on vacation for almost 3 weeks and just now got back.

Thanks for all the responses! This will help me get a complete list as much as possible (at least what I have anyways). As for the airball owners, I have:

1. Portnoyd
2. DreamTR
3. Daae-Norway
4. ????

For the Cue Stick proto, I know the one was stolen, but I'm still missing another. Any help at all would be appreciated :) I'm going to try and shortened the list if possible.

I think an Airball just recently changed hands. Not DreamTrs or Portnoyds.

Wasn't Daae's either. He was going to sell because I was tempted to buy but he decided to keep it in the end.

Wasn't Daae's either. He was going to sell because I was tempted to buy but he decided to keep it in the end.

Maybee thats who I am thinking of. He had an offer and told me it would be sold to that person unless I came in with a higher offer. I didn't buy it because there were just too many copies out there for it to remain undumped forever. He did mention it was the most complete of the existing copies if that helps any.

Hounder
08-23-2006, 10:23 PM
Yeah, I was a potential buyer but the price was just too high for me since there are four known copies to exist. I have all sorts of confidential info on his copy. He's a member over at nesforums and I've talked to him quite a bit about it. I might end up buying it down the road though.

Buyatari
08-23-2006, 11:46 PM
Yeah it would be nice to have but I think Portnoyd will dump his copy at some point down the road.

Hounder: muresan owns the other Airball. YOu can cross Daae Norway off the list for Airball, I have his and mine now.

Hounder
08-24-2006, 10:11 AM
Yeah it would be nice to have but I think Portnoyd will dump his copy at some point down the road.
That's the thing. With four copies out there, I don't want to buy one for $800 and then someone that has a fuller version go and dump theirs. It would be different if only one copy existed.

Thanks dream. I'll add those to the list :)

DreamTR
08-24-2006, 08:02 PM
Hounder: Right now, it's a bit more controlled. Muresan does not get rid of anything. It's safe there. Portnoyd is MIA.

I have the other 2 copies.

By definition of "rarity", this cart should be worth $10,000 because only 4 exist, less than the NWC!!!!

But we are being realistic here. It's still an unreleased undumped proto, believe it or not, even with 4 copies out there, and I'll tell ya this, Tengen proto duplicates won't be hitting the masses anytime soon.

Just like my Arcadia 6, games that no one really cares about seem to max out at 1k or so even if they are one of a kinds.

Yes, but I am being sarcastic here, I am just going by what someone had mentioned to me the other day about rarity being the biggest factor in driving up value.

Buyatari
08-28-2006, 03:51 PM
In the supply demand game supply ALWAYS takes a back seat to demand. Rare games that no one wants can't be sold at any price. While Mario Duck Hunts sell for up to $10 and more at times on ebay.

Found 'em at a thrift store for a few bucks each. Since the boards aren't hackjobs and I don't see stereotypical eproms, I'm guessing that they're preview versions for magazines or something.
The only difference I saw between the released version and proto of VBV was in the title screen; I'm too lazy to check now, but it was a very minor cosmetic detail. I haven't checked the differences in IM2, but the proto seems complete. If anyone wants to know more, which I doubt since these aren't grade-A games, I'll check...

Well I sold both a NG2 and a Solstice, I thought to you but the memory's a little fuzzy.

Both are likely from the NWC because I got them at the same time. (uncle brought some games with him down to Florida when we went boating)

I got an NWC jacket at that time too... wonder what happened to that.
