Best game to play with NES MAX controller?

I used to tear up Twin Cobra with the Max controller -- can't really think of any others that felt particularly natural. Any suggestions?

I used it for Track And Field, it was great for the hammer throw.

I didn't think any game was good to play with that controller. I think it's lousy. I'd go with the advantage over that.

I'm not sure if I ever found a working version of this controller... I couldn't figure out how to use it besides using the edges as a gigantic d-pad

A lot of people knock the max, but back in the day it was my favorite controller. I used it to beat probably 100-150 games. Nowadays I don't find it as responsive as when I was a kid. Not sure why.

I thought the idea was great, but when I think about it now, the red section is probably too small in the center (either that or the black part was too big), taking a split second longer to make the moves you want to when you slide it. Also, this idea is better adapted to a analog controller, which the Max was certainly not.

It was innovative, but most NES games did not need the smooth "360 degree" motion that it provided. The hammer throw mentioned above is one of the only games I can think of where it was very useful. I think a lot of games for the next gens of systems (fighter games especially) could have used it for special moves, but I can't think of any NES games that required this..

Exactly... I loved playing Ice Hockey using the Max. I remember beating Sweeden 120+ to 0 using it (or corse all of my players were the fat ones with one skinny guy to win the faceoffs LOL )

The Max is an underated controller.

The best game for best results is surely Track and Field 2

I second Ice Hockey. I can't believe I used to fly through Mega Man 2 on a regular basis with that thing. Now it doesn't seem possible.
