I am sure that Gears of War will be solid, I personally think that it will sell good. I dont think that it is gonna do as well as they want it to. Wake me up when Halo 3 gets released. Microsoft is great at promising the world, only to usually fall flat with the actual product. I have been burned too many times, I no longer believe the hype. That goes with any company.

Actually the biggest news about this game is the fact that this is the first Microsoft published 360 game that is going to have a $59.99 price tag. So far, all Microsoft published 360 games have had a $49.99 price, and that was "supposed" to be their policy. But apparently, that isn't going to be the case this time. The regular version of GOW is $59.99 and the special edition is $69.99. So basically, people that are getting the special edition, are going to be forking over, 70 plus dollars five days before the launch of the PS3. Kinda interesting.
Also, Epic has announced that there is NOT GOING TO BE A DEMO of gow prior to the games release, and that they plan on working on downloadable content (for a fee of course), before they consider spending time on making a demo. Some folks are thinking that many hardcore 360 gamers will actually spend more than $100 on the first GOW game, when it's all said and done. If the special edition costs roughly $75.60 (assuming 8 percent sales tax), then one only needs to spend another $24.41 on additional downloadable content to take their total expenditure on this game over the century mark. When is the last time you spent over $100 on a single video game? Steel Battalion? For me, the last time was when I bought Cyber-Lip for the AES brand new for $149.99 at EB back in like 1992 or 1993.

November 12th is the day I finally buy a 360 and Gears of War to go with it. Sony isnt getting my $600+. Oh and Anthony1 the last time I spent over a hundred bucks for a game was on Steel Battalion. Still kicking myself for that one.

This game just dosn't excite me. When I first saw the game it did, but the more gameplay and stuff I saw, it just seemed very... 'Meh.' If I get a 360 (and I will eventually) this won't be a game I get. I'm looking more forword to Saint's Row, Lost Planet, and Dead Rising.
