I'm having trouble with my Power Glove. When I turn the console on with a game in it, all of the LEDs on the sensors light up. Is that supposed to happen? I found this (http://home.hiwaay.net/~lkseitz/cvg/power_glove.shtml) site with the manual on it. It says you have to press start or select to turn the LEDs on.

GM: Put a game in the NES and press Power. The glove beeps.
Pressing Power turns the glove on and off.
GM: Press Start on the glove. Pressing Start or Select turns on the
LED panel.
The LEDs are on as soon as I turn the console on.

I don't get a beeping sound when I press Start or Select. Could that be the problem? If so, how do I fix the switches on the PCB?

The only reaction I can get out of the glove are some beeps. I can't use it like a normal controller.

Could the problem be that the glove is regional? (I'm in England)

I've cut the lockout chip and I've tried the glove on an American copy of Super Mario Bros. 3. But I get the same reaction, the LED Panel lights up as soon as the console is turned on.

Hmmm, maybe. I've never heard of or thought of this before. Since it uses sensors on the side of the TV, and not the TV sync signal itself like light guns, I wonder if the sync with the NES is based on a different timing than the NTSC region ones.....

Anyone in a PAL region ever tried their PAL Power Glove on an NTSC tv (or vise versa)?

The Power Glove was only sold in USA and Japan.

I'm coming close to calling the person I bought it from a bad trader but I want to see what's wrong with it first.

I had the same problem last year when i got my one, all the LEDs came on but nothing happend, I left mine for a while then one day I messed about with it and it worked fine.

What game have you tried the glove with?

It only works with certain games.

I know Bubble Bobble is one of the games it should work with. Mine doesn't, though. Maybe I need to get an American Bubble Bobble.

It's good to know it's not just me, and that the glove probably isn't broken.

Do you know what you did that might have made it work?
