I only really own a msx2 cause I bought metal gear 2 originally with it but im wondering any of you on here actually collect for it? Seems like a pretty odd system and the only way to obtain games is through online , since there were no american releases of course.

While not quite the same, Ive been trying to get an x68000 for months and I cant find one lol. I tried to find a MSX briefly before that but that failed as well.

So many x68000 systems are marked as Junk though, so they may or may not work. Not worth the risk right now ;)

I've been wanting to find an MSX or an X68k in the wild for around the last decade but never turned anything up :( I didn't want to order it from some online source because, hey, I may as well emulate it at that point.

Where I was in Japan wasn't exactally the prime spot for such stuff, I guess...but I still turned up some decent toys here and there.

I've always though that the Daewoo Zemmix (http://assembler.roarvgm.com/Zemmix/zemmix.html) was a very cool console. Anyone here have one of those?

I own a Yamaha MSX which was released and marketed in the US. (Well...it was marketed as a Music machine.)

Me :D

I found a Toshiba MSX 1 in the wild for £1, no games with it and i still havent bought a single game for it yet :P

Doesnt appeal too me too much to be honest as im more the 16 bit Sega and Nintendo gamer really...
And unless you own the carts, im not prepared for the load times, i spent enough time waiting as a kid for my ZX Spectrum to load up various games on tape, so not again please!

I've got an MSX2 and an MSX2 plus. I've only got maybe 20 games for them, but I'm slowly building up my collection. I've also got an X68000 and about 5 other Japanese computers.

I've got an MSX Turbo R. I've always found it weird that the most poweful MSX system is the one that doesn't accept a tape drive. Go figure, huh? There's a lot of tape games I'd love to play. Does anyone remember where to buy that flash cart for the MSX?

It's probably just the PSU. Go to GameSX to see how to fix that ;)

Myself, I have both machines (MSX2 and an x68000), though the pins on the MSX's power supply are bent and the x68000 is torn apart. I should really do something about that...

Also, lol eBay (http://cgi.ebay.com/UNDEADLINE-T-E-SOFT-msx-msx2-JAP-SHOOTER-VERY-RARE_W0QQitemZ270013060760QQihZ017QQcategoryZ72500 QQssPageNameZWD1VQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem). I have this game and it didn't cost me anywhere near that much.

For MSX2, I have...hmm...only three games, I think. Contra, Undead Line, and a loose Akumajo Dracula (terrible, overly hyped game).

Does anybody know if the the Hudson cards for the MSX came in actual boxes? I've got Jet Set Willy in that format, and it only came with the little plastic case.

I own some Spectravideo 728 computers. One of the best keyboards on an MSX1 model, otherwise plain as vanilla.

I sometimes play with it, since it is quite easy to feed it with tapes by connecting the headphone output on my Mac to the tape input on the MSX.

While I would very much like to get an MSX2, I haven't been able to justify it due to my small flat. I wouldn't have anywhere to put it.
