That Atari 2600 game lot is nice. It has almost all of the common games I want at the moment. Plus it will give me some duplicates to sell.
Maybe if I can get some spare cash before it ends I will place a bid. Pretty good shipping too, for that size of lot.

Nice, it's a good one to have. Already over $50. Kinda makes me chuckle because I didn't pay much more for my sealed copy - those are the sorts of games where in my mind the market undervalues the sealed version quite a bit.

I completely agree.
Did anyone see how much my CIB snow brothers brought in? 117.56!?!?!
I wouldn't imagine a sealed one would sell for much more.

Well since my buddies seem to be reading this thread and I don't really feel like starting a seperate topic on my ventures i will just spill the info here.
As most of you know I have sold pretty much all of my NES collection to fund a trip to Africa. I was able to sell enough CIB games to memebers here at DP, Nesworld and RFgen. and then on ebay (through the letter Q) to fund my trip. Now that i am back, i have little money so I am cleaning out the rest of my collection. Once i get my collecting priorities in order I will definatly be back in the game.
S0, my trip to Africa went great! I traveled with a group of eleven other students from the university of oregon's school of journalism and communications to Ghana, West Africa. This study abroad program was designed as an 8 credit course program (2 classes). For four of the credits we listened to lectures and learned about media history in Ghana and west/sub saharan africa. After a week of this we each started a 4 week long extensive internship at different media outlets throughout the capital of Ghana; Accra.
Everybody in our house worked at a different place. I worked for the Ghana Brodcasting Corp. (the GBC, which is funded my the government) in television News. GTV (the television part of GBC) is the largest television station throughout Ghana... even though it isn't necessarily the most watched.
Anyways, I was an "attachment" and was assigned a differnet senior reporter each day. We typically visited certain ministries and covered stories pertaining to the business and economic stability in ghana. I was able to go places certain tourist (especially Americans) would not normally have gone... like parliment and the ghana stock exchange. It was quite an experience. I co-authored a few stories and was able to write my own story on a gold mine company paying their quarterly dividends to the government, which was great!
on top of the career experience i was also able to travel through Ghana with my housemates. I did not get to see any lions or elephants, but i did see my share of monkey's, typically owned by people in Accra or alongside the road.
We visited a very cool rainforest called Kokum (spelling?) and walked 250 feet above the trees on a canopy walk.
I also visisted a diamond mine, ate goat leg, floated on the 2nd largest man made lake in the world (lake volta which supplies energy for two or three other countries as well as Ghana and used to be the largest man made lake, until the three gorges damn was just completed, or so i heard).
I would have seen more of the country, but five weeks and working 5 days a week out of the four weeks we were there left me little time to travel.
Overall, it was one of the greatest experiences of my life and has given my quite a new perspective on everything. I would also urge anyone who has ever dreamed of traveling to Africa to go to Ghana, as it is quite a safe country and the infrastructure is developing daily at quite a sigificant rate. The people are all very friendly and open and the beaches are BEAUTIFUL with perfect water. The fruit is amazing and they even have fast food.
The idea of Africa in general may seem dangourous, disease infested and underdeveloped, when in fact it is almost the exact opposite. Sure aids, malaria and yellow fever are prevelant in the area, but if you take the EASY and correct precationary procedures before you go you will not have a problem.
If anyone is planning to travel there in the near future and wants a buddy to go, please get a hold of me as i would be more than happy to go back :D

snow bros is a great title though.. not too shocked at that. I sold a complete copy (super mint though) for $100 a while back. A sealed copy sold for somewhere around 250-300 though a while back, and it had a FUGLY dent. I paid 250 for a mint one(off-ebay though), so I think its not really a 'under the radar' title where you can get a sealed for the cost of a complete. Something like jetsons is more like it. I think I paid some shmuck $17 for my sealed jetsons (TOUGH find, friggin bargain and a half) and a complete one sold for $21 like the next week.

wow, cool report on your african experience!
I have to admit I'm one of the ignorant buggers that would be scared to death of travelling there for safety reasons but it would be quite something to explore. Good on you..
and good to hear you'll be back in the game ;)

I am actually contimplating going into sealed NES collecting now that I am starting all over. I found that I rarely played the games and if i ever did I would just bust out my dreamcast and play them there.
