Virtua Fighter 4 Evolution

Wow! Virtua Fighter 4 Evolution got 37/40 in this week's Famitsu scores! That's great news... even beat out Final Fantasy X-2 (34/40).

I can't wait. I was a big fan of VF4 and really want to try this one out. I thought that Sega did a great job on the PS2 port and loved the extra modes. The new characters look awesome.

Is there word that the game will be released in the US? There hasn't yet been an official announcement, and the issue has been burning in the VF community.

The one element of PS2 Evo that makes some of us worry is the "tour" mode, where the player visits different arcades around Japan and fights the famous players. How would this mode be handled in an American version? Would the names and locations stay the same, or would Sega change it to generic opponents in the US?

it looks terrific, though, a good improvement over the last version, if still not quite as pretty as the arcade.

I'm very anxious to get my hands on this one as well, but I'm hoping Sega decides to release it in North America. As much as I love the game, I'm not going to resort to modding my PS2 just to import this one game.
Man, I hope it gets a domestic release...
