Yeah I used the phone for a while. It works really well. If you are into sending text messages then it is great, but the fact that it plays MP3s is also very nice. I believe that it also has an FM tuner but I am not positive about that.

Does the minidisk unit actually play MP3s? It is my understanding that they only play ATRAC, but I could be wrong.

Someone else can feel free to correct me on this, but unless it does some sort of crazy conversion itself, it plays MP3s. You hook the player up to your PC and load the discs up with MP3s. so you are getting way more than 74 minutes of music on each disc.
