Coming back from suspected death, Southern California Classic Collectors (SC3) is hosting its first collector’s meet in over 4 years on Sept 30!

If you like Old games, new games, Imports, home systems, or arcade games, this is the event for you! We’ve long since eschewed sticking to the ‘Classic’ in our name, and everyone’s welcome with open arms.
Local collector Steven Hertz has offered his home in Claremont for this event, and we want to know who’s coming!
What will be different in this meet is that Steve’s place will have his 20+ Arcade game collection up, with a near-perfect collection of Laserdisc games and other high rares, and there will be other Arcade collectors present. This will be a ‘Summit Meeting’ of Arcade and Home system collectors, so we can all mix it up and get to know each other! Tournaments of specific games are to be announced (4-Player Warlords has been mentioned….)
We’re adding gaming stations for many, many home game systems, both old, new, and in between.
As the date draws near, more details will be mentioned and confirmed.

E-mail sc3-invite@oriole.net with an RSVP. Once you E-mail us, you will get a mail back, and a mailing with the address one week before the meet, once a headcount has been tallied.

We need to know:

How many people are coming with you, and their names. It’s important for us to keep on top of the number of attendees.
What you intend to bring, be it Game-wise and/or Food/drink-wise. SC3 has always been a Beer-friendly group, but it’s not required. Soda, bottled water, KFC, favorite snacks or dishes are encouraged. Drinks MUST be in individual containers (cans, 12-20 oz. Bottles) for the meet.

BRING YOUR GAME-TRADE PILE!!!! Now’s the time to get the one game that’s been eluding you for years! NOTE: There will be *NO* method of guarding specific trade piles, and we (the SC3 planners and host) claim no responsibility for lost/stolen trade items or rarities. However, we’ve yet to have a problem.

Mood: SC3 has made a point of keeping it relaxed and informal, but we do tend to have an 18+atmosphere. Past experience has led us to believe that 15 is about the youngest we can go, (There’s been Japanese Adult games played, 2600 Mystique carts, and did we mention the beer?) but there’s been as young as 9, with parental supervision.

ESSENTIALS:
* E-mail sc3-invite@oriole.net to RSVP and get
directions to the meet!
* Let us know what (and who) you're bringing! This
includes games, food, drinks and treats (and beer's
OK!).
* Sept. 30 (the last Saturday in September) is the
date!
* Hope to see you there!

Looks like things are really coming along. This will be a mini CGE style gathering. We have had quite of bit of people RSVPing and space is limited. This is going to be great! :D
