I picked up a second Dreamcast VGA adapter. My old one was a NAKI blue one. The one I picked up looks the exact same, but is orange.

Are these two the same VGA adapters but with a different colour? I assume they are since they're so similar, but I just need confirmation :)

Yup. Just came in different colors, like the DC controllers and VMU's.

Really? I've used the blue one before and it looked fantastic! I've never used the S-Video out. My only complaint with it is that it doesn't have a passthrough, so you have to unplug your PC to plug in the DC. Otherwise I love it! :D

Hey

You can pick up an old manual KVM switch really cheap and then use that to switch from DC to PC. I also have a keyboard adapter so with the click of a switch I go from PC to playing the typing of the dead.

Good idea.

I just looked into it online, and some people say that using a switch like that creates "ghosts" in your screen, especially when using a PC - do you have that problem?

BTW, I've got Typing of the Dead for PC - I wish I had the keyboard adapter though, that'd be awesome :D

I had an old one that was like that. I would have to wiggle the switch a couple times. If the switch is old and dirty it may give ghosts.

I just tried it on my good auto KVM and the image is perfect. No difference. But I have a different VGA box too. So maybe that would be the way to go.

The keyboard adapter is from mad catz. I love typing of the dead on my old IBM 1984 clicky keyboard.
