Some suggestions:

Colony Wars
Die Hard Trilogy (the original, one of my favorites on the platform)
Front Mission 3 (battles got a bit tedious for me on my first play-through, but it's worth looking into if you like strategy RPGs)

Colony Wars

Grandia

Yeah I am hoping to get Grandia. I don't know anything about the other ones. I loved Grandia II though. Probably my favorite RPG. I hear Grandia 1 is even better so that is on the top of my too buy list.

You seriously need Colony Wars. It's a 3D space shooter with a surprisingly good story.

I see you have Twisted Metal 3&4, I personally liked the 2nd the best of the series (that includes Black on PS2). 3&4 were made by a seperate co on the PS 1. I took TM 3 back after the first day of playing.

I've only had the chance to play the demo before it came out and remember it being cool, but everyone that I know that ever owned and played the full version hated it. Not sure how accurate that should be taken though since they would be compairing it against Goldeneye and Perfect dark at the time.

Legacy of Kain: Soul Reaver was another good title that I enjoyed.

Well I have a top 3 list of PS1 games that I always recommend:

Castlevania: Symphony of the Night (you already have)
Klonoa: Door to Phantomile
Ridge Racer

I'm suprised not one person mentioned both Lunar games!! They may be inferior to the originals (in my opinion) but they are both great games. I'd also recommend Arc The Lad Collection. I also second the Ridge Racer series (my personal fave is still Revolution. I think it has the best music out of all of them). Definitely agree with Castlevania, Bust A Groove, Time Crisis, Wipeout3, MGS, Xenogears, etc.

I don't see the hype of Strikers 1945, lamo. There are tons of better shooters on the PSX

Some sleeper hits that are decent

Billiards, Incredible pool sim
Running Wild, quirky racing game similar to Sonic R
Sheep, puzzle game
Super Bubble Pop, tough to figure out puzzler but worth it.
Roll Away, Seriously trippy puzzle action.

For this console, I will proudly say Eternal Eyes (cutesy rpg) and Evil Zone (anime fighting game with a neat story), two of the best $10 games I ever bought 8-)

I've heard nothing good about Eternal Eyes so it is still sealed after 2 years, but based on your recommendation I'll try it. You better not be lying to me though or else: :smash:

Bushido Blade. 2 is good, but I don't like the interface as well as 1, mainly involving 'stance'.

Wipeout XL or WipeOut3. By far one of the best racers I've played.

Dead or Alive. Even though the 'jiggle factor' is excessive.

Hydrothunder is an excellent port of the arcade game.

The only thing really "wrong" with it is the simplistic graphics/music and the fact you can beat it in one day. Easier than Dragon Warrior on NES. The game is nearly worthless from a collecting standpoint, only about $5, so it does no good to keep it sealed 8-) The spells and weapons are kind of cool and I like the system of using different colored gems, in different combinations, to power up your characters.

Yup. I mentioned it a few posts above yours.

I agree, it's an amazing game. Hard as hell to boot. Hmm...might have to track down another copy of this game. LOL

I.Q. Intelligent Qube - it's a wierd action/puzzle hybrid that's got roots in Klax but is magnitudes more interesting. It also has the distinction of being expensive. Feh. -- I.Q. is to Klax as Tetris Attack is to Tetris.

I must second (third?):

Diablo
Darkstone (a decent yet uglier Diablo clone)
Soul Reaver (a nice companion piece to Blood Omen)
WipeOut series
Turnabout is a $5-10 fun addictive puzzle game w/ a built-in editor
Juggernaut, Echo Night, Dracula: Resurrection & Last Sanctuary if you're into point/click type adventures (which sadly many arent.)

Not on this list yet is Ballistic. I love this game. It plays like Zuma.
