Is this a big cash thing?

Just wondering if most transactions are cash only here, or are checks or credit cards ok?...if cash only, what's a good amount to bring?

Well, many of the people who have booths there do have an online presence, where credit cards are accepted, but because the show is a two day affair, not many people will have a credit card machine or phone line handy to take credit cards, and since lots of people are coming from around the country checks probably won't be accepted. On the plus side, You'll be in vegas, baby! ATM machines are easier to find than clocks in vegas.

What's a good amount to spend? Depends on how much of a spaz you are. You can bring just a coupla hundo and do very nicely. Or you can bring thousands and walk out with protos and rarities you'll not see elsewhere. It's all up to you, Moneybags. Personally, I had $600 in spending cash (hotel, air, food, etc. did not come from this) and I spent every penny. I could've easily stopped at $300-$400, but I fugured "I gots the cash, I might as well treat myself!"

Amen to that. If I had just thought it through, I would've dropped the cash back into my account and just travelled with my ATM card. Vegas is the home of "You need money? Whatcha got?"
