PS2 DVD sound problem (buzzzz)

I was wondering if anyone had this same problem with their PS2 when it plays DVDs; on mine the sound is always very low, and when I turn it up there's a very audible and annoying buzz (especially in scenes with brighter colors) in the background which sometimes overrides what people are saying.

I'm using AV cables, and when I move the plug around in the back of my PS2 the buzzing changes (but usually just gets worse). I've tried two different sets of AV cables with the same results.

My PS2 is a slim model.

Any ideas?

Press Select and go to Setup, 2nd row down, three from the right.

Make sure Digital Out is off (If you aren't using Optical for sound) then go down to DVD Volume and change it to +2.
