yea i know they have a lot of cheats and codes. but im looking for sokmething where i can download on my computer. Kinda like some of those complete NES lists you can download and have on your computer but with like nes cheats. Anything like that exist? basically it would be sweet for in the gameroom to slide over to the computer and bam there are all the codes you can use on whichever game your playing at the time. See i have a dial up connection (dsl is not offered where im located :-() so thats what im looking for?

I'd be surprised if you could download such a thing. There may be a few books out there that have *a lot* of NES cheats...but for every single game? Sounds like a cool project for someone to take on.l

Every game tips web site online uses different sources for their tips. Certain magazines, books, web sites, etc. A few years back, I tried looking for a comprehensive web site which lists all the Game Genie codes for older systems. There was no such site. I had to use 3-4 sites just to find all the codes for a few games here and there.
They each had maybe 60-70% of the Game Genie codes out there, many of which overlapped from site to site, but not one of the sites could be considered comprehensive since each site had at least 5-10 games (and 30-40 codes) that could only be find on that particular site.
My point is, you'll run into the same problem no matter where you look online.

in the early 90s when my brother was in college he used to print out and send me lists of cheats for different games in alphabetical order, I think he got them from newsgroups or a BBS.

Really, you'd probably only ever use a fraction of the games listed in that database, even if it existed.
There's a pretty big Zip file at TSR's NES Archive (http://www.atarihq.com/tsr/codes/index.html), I suppose. Or you could look for a PDF file of the old Nintendo Power "Top Secret Passwords" guide, or buy it off eBay. (What a cool guide that was!)
