anyone know where I can find him? I got Mugen all star, but it came without Homer. If not, I wouldn't mind getting my hands on another Mugen version with other characters. Any ideas???

Long ago (and at a time when I really didn't know what I was looking at) I saw screenshots of a MUGEN version of Mario - except it was actually the size of the SMW sprite, so you had this tiny Mario using cape attacks and firing Bullet Bills at characters three times his size! Anyone familiar with that one?

I've tried to get MUGEN to work, but I dont know what the deal is. I just cant seem to figure it out. I wish someone would just send me a MUGEN copy that works with an ass-ton of characters so I could just jump in and play, but from what I've tried it dosn't seem that simple. Oh well.

Homer is just a remade iori, But thats one sick ass custom made character. She could be based off freeman from garou MOTW, Since that counter super looked like it a bit. Where is she from though?

I'm more freaked out by the Mario Luigi vs Fat Ablert Captain Caveman match. This is some seriously fucked up shit here.
So Mugen is sprite rips put into a Kof2002 battle system or Capcom vs battle system?

I imagine there is considerable customization of the battle system available.

I used to love Mugen. Then the Brazilian retards wouldn't leave me alone. And many people started to steal the stuff I made.
Anyway... The engine is the same for everyone; you customize the character yourself. So you can have, say, Street Fighter II Ryu vs. Marvel Vs. Capcom Ryu easily. I used to have a lot of stuff for the engine, but I got sick of it, lost all my stuff on a hard drive crash, and got pestered by too many idiots, so I snapped all my backup CDs in half and threw them away. :\

This makes me want to get back into MUGEN. hehehe, I miss the days of having 50 fighters in 1 game with Papa Roach for background music (it was back when they first came out and were really popular).

What happened to Mugen? Didn't they abandon support of the Windows version in favor of Linux? They left it unfinished with little to no controller support?
Back around 2000-2001, I used to do the Mugen thing but it frustrated me that it was so incomplete. I heard another group hacked the Windows version and tweaked it a bit. Perhaps I'll check it out.

I've never tried MUGEN although I've seen a gazillion vids of it on youtube. Some of the characters are just insane like Ogre which is Akuma on elepahnt steroids. Yeah, people do steal stuff from others like the vid where MUGEN Wario's moves were taken from someone who made a MUGEN character called Eli. The guy who made Eli put up a vid of Eli and Wario side by side and proved how the guy who made Wario stole his stuff and commented on how much MUGEN sucks. But I guess that's just the nature of it since the characters are usually remade from other existing characters like Homer who basically has Iori's moves as was already mentioned. But I'd definitely love the opportunity to play MUGEN if given a chance. Oh and if you're having trouble finding characters you could go to youtube and check out people's rosters to see if they have the characters you're looking for and you can ask them to email them to you. That's the best solution since a lot of the people who made the characters have shut down their sites.

That roster puts the one I have to shame. There must be like 300+ characters there. The one I have has about 110, but there are a few that were not done very well, so I try to avoid those. Also the A.I is hard, and I am talking HARD. I always set it to one and it still goes nuts on me sometimes. I would like to know where I can get that version of Mugen...the one being played on the Grand Prix youtube video. Awesome. @_@

I've always wanted to give M.U.G.E.N a try but even after repeated searches, I came up pretty empty. I know this is going to be a very weak thing for me to ask, but does anyone out there have a fully compiled pack for me to play around with?
Not neccessarily the EVE pack in the movie (the download is down for that site) but something for me to get my feet wet with.

Home of the Underdogs has a couple (Brutal: Paws of Fury Remix, TMNT Tournament Fighters Remix, DBZ Millenium, Samurai Showdown VS MUGEN), but nothing quite so expansive or wacky.

Nah, those are hand-drawn. What I remember seeing was the actual SMW sprite.
It was a really long time ago; since MUGEN apparently was only released in 1999, I must have been looking at a screenshot of something from the KOF91 engine.
The video of MUGEN N64 Mario is pretty cool.
